Homemade Bibimbap

I love Korean Bibimbap.

It's simple and healthy, and best of all... it's easy to make.

All you need is rice, meat, vegetables, and sauce.

Some of the banchan, I picked up from a Korean store, such as the hot bean sprouts and fish cakes, but the rest I prepared.

This is the finished product.

The sides I added were:

  • Spinach with onions
  • Zucchini with carrots
  • Sliced beef
  • Lettuce for crisp
  • Bean sprouts
  • Fish cakes
  • Sauce made from a mixture of Gochujang sauce, sesame oil, and drippings from the cooked meat.

If you look closely, you may see the steam coming from the rice.

Usually, this dish would cost $13+ in the restaurant, not including tip, but if you make it at home, you only pay for the ingredients, and you have a lot left over to take to work the next day.

Hope this gives some inspiration. Enjoy!
