Mung bean (moong) pancakes || A healthy and delicious delight

It's best to start the day healthy. If the beginning of the day is good then the whole day turns out good. And mung been / moong dal chilla (lentil pancakes) is the best way to start the day.



These pancakes are loaded with lots of nutritions like protein, fiber and more. We can easily prepare these pancakes with lentil, some vegetables and herbs. This is the quick meal which we can enjoy for breakfast or any time of the day.

Yesterday i made these pancakes and everyone liked it very much. We can also make changes in it according to our taste and convenience. You can add veggies to your choice and also semolina or garm flour.

This time i made it with lentil, veggies and herbs. And served it with ketchup.

INGREDIENTS ✅

  • Mung been / Hara Moong 2 cup
  • Ginger 1/5 inch
  • Green chilli 2-3
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Black papper powder 1 tsp
  • Onion 2
  • Tomato 1
  • Panner
  • Spinach 1 bowl
  • Oil


METHOD ✅

Step 1 :

First wash the mung been and soak it for 7-8 hours or overnight.
After it strain the all water with the help of sieve like this. Diffrence is alos visible before and after soaking the lentil.

Step 2 :

After it add lentil in a jar, along with add spinach, green chilli and ginger also.

I also add cumin seeds for the good taste and flavour.

Grind it properly adding little water.

Adjust the consistency adding water and make the batter like this.

STEP 3 :

Now add spices in it. You can add spices according to you. This time i add salt, black paper powder and turmeric powder in it.

Your batter is ready to make the pancake or chilla.

STEP 4 :

Now on the other side take all veggies , you can add veggies to your taste and availability. This time i add onion, tomato and panner. I forget to click the picture of panner.

STEP 5 :

Now take a non-stick pan , heat the pan , spread some drops of oil on the pan with the help of the brush. Now spread one big spoon batter on the pan.

Now fold the chilla and serve hot with green chutney or ketchup.
