Soto/Sroto Sokaraja - Indonesian Food

Hello foodies lovers..

Fatma is here and i would love to share about one of favorite food in Indonesia. We call it Soto

Indonesia has so many kind of Soto, such as Soto Betawi, Soto Banjar, Soto Lamongan, Soto Mie Bogor, Soto Bandung, Soto Padang, and so many more.

One of my favorite is Soto Sokaraja or people in my hometown usually call it Sroto.

Actually this kind of food originally from Sokaraja, it's a name of a district in Banyumas, Central Java. But, this spesific picture was taken in a small restaurant called Soto Loso and it's one of the most wanted Soto in Purwokerto. It only takes about 15 minutes from Sokaraja to Purwokerto.

By the way, talking about Soto Loso, this restaurant has been established since 1970's. It's located in Jl. Bank (Jl. R. A. Wiryaatmadja) Purwokerto and it usually gets very busy on the weekend.

It costs about 19 thousands Rupiah ( US$ 1.3) to enjoy a bowl of Soto Loso. What's in it? It consists of a ketupat (rice cake), soun (kind of rice noodles), chicken, sprouts, leeks, and kerupuk (specific crackers for Soto, did you see the yellow thing in my bowl? We call it Mireng 😆). Put them together in the bowl and pour them with hot seasoned chicken broth, and then put some sambal (chilli peanut sauce)..voila yummy..
