My favourite restaurant| Huế beef noodle at Sông Hương restaurant reminded me about Huế city

Whenever you talk about Vietnamese culinary, Phở and Bánh Mì will be called out but with me, it is Bún bò Huế (Huế beef noodle).

Hi my dear Bees, my Hivers friends! How are you today? Do you wanna eat something warm, spicy today?
Let me show your my experience when eating one of the most famous Vietnames food: Bún bò Huế.

Huế is Old Vietnam capital which locates in the Middle of Vietnam, the heart of the S Dragon.

Huế culinary also really famous in Vietname with many delious dishes from main dishes to snacks, special pickled foods and good quality of fish/shrimp sauces… Its special taste can not found anywhere but Huế, then always make people travel there to visit all historical places and enjoy the foods there.

But there is one thing you can find and eat everywhere in Hanoi, specially in Tô Hiệu street, Lạc Long Quân street… It is Bún bò Huế - Beef noodle in Huế style.

I live in another district which is far from these streets I mentioned but here I found a restaurant which is managed by original Huế-ers. From the name “Sông Hương” – named by using the most famous river of this ancient capital, Hương river, to the voice and accent of restaurant’s staff. From the clean, simplicity of restaurant to a little salty, spicy soup they using for noodle… It is Huế style.

I usually visit this restaurant whenever I don’t wanna cook dinner or just for a warm, big, full breakfast with my roommate.

Soup is prepared and cooked in a big pot with many ingredients: beef bones, beef shank, lemongrass and adds spicy chili oil, shrimp sauce….

The topping always include pig's knuckles and in Hanoi, they add more such as: crab sausage, beef sausage, boiled pig/cow blood, beef shank, sliced onion, spring onion…

After quick boiling the noodle, adding the topping and pour the soup into the big bowl, the staff will arrange more fresh herb (mint, basil…), shredded lettuce, sliced banana blossom, bean sprouts… on a dish to serve with your hot noodle.

You can add more chili oil and lemon to balance the taste.

Finally, you got one big bow of Bún Bò Huế - which is a perfect combination of salty, sour, spicy and sweet taste. And the scent of the dish also be enhanced by the herbs.
