Do friends like to hunt for delicious food? I think, everyone in this world likes to seek and find delicious food. Moreover, when we can recommend the food and dishes to our family or friends. A few days ago, I received news that in one of the malls in my city, a culinary festival was being held by various tenants.
Yama Japanese Snacks
Getting the news, I didn't have to wait long and went there. There were lots of food tenants participating in the event. However, there is one food tenant that caught my attention. This food tenant looks very flashy and crowded with visitors. I decided to give it a try too.
I visited Yama Japanese Snacks, one of the food tenants participating in this culinary festival. Yama Japanese Snacks sells yakitori, mentai, and also sushi. The concept of yakitori from this food tenant is a bit unique, because usually and to my knowledge Yakitori is chicken satay. However, Yama Japenese Snacks makes the concept and meaning of Yakitori become satay in general. Here, we find various menus and variations such as yakitori with enoki mushrooms or yakitori with beef.
One of the factors that makes people interested in coming to this tenant is because the visitors to this culinary festival can see the cooking process of this dish. We will see the cooks preparing this dish. The most interesting part when seeing the grilling process of this yakitori. The fragrant aroma of grilled meat makes us want to try this dish even more. I ordered yakitori (of course, original yakitori which I wanted to try).

This food tenant is too crowded, I have to wait long enough for my order to be processed and cooked. I am very interested to try this yakitori. I'm curious about the taste, because I've known this food for a long time but have never tried it. After waiting about 30 minutes, until the order in my name was called.
For one skewer of this yakitori, it sells for IDR 40K (or around 3.3 USD). The pieces of chicken meat from this yakitori are also quite big and make people drool just looking at them. Usually, typical Indonesian chicken satay is made with small pieces of meat. I can't wait to try it, when I taste it the chicken meat from this yakitori is very soft, juicy and delicious.
This yakitori sauce makes the taste of this chicken meat more complex and delicious. Sweet, salty and savory flavors make this dish very delicious. I ate up to two skewers this time. Unfortunately, this Yakitori is not spicy enough for me and according to the seller, if you want to add spiciness, you can use the chili sauce provided.
I try to enjoy this yakitori without using extra chili sauce. I think enjoying the originality of a dish is very important. I am enjoying my culinary hunt at this culinary festival and see you in my story another time.
