At the Store, I Saw Something Interesting...
At the grocery store on Friday, I saw something interesting on the shelves: a single serving breakfast "rustic" scramble kit. "Just crack an Egg" it says. I saw it there clearance for $0.99.
I couldn't resist, I gotta try this!
What's inside?
Three individually packaged ingredients: Vegetable blend, turkey breakfast sausage crumbles and Mozzarella cheese.
So I put the egg in the bowl... Oh, did I miss a step?
I CRACKED an egg into the bowl! Now we're getting somewhere!
Add in the vegetable blend. Hmmm, not so yummy looking. Let's keep going.
Add in the little meat boulders. Still looking sort of questionable.
Ok, now it's looking a little better. Cheese makes everything better!
Mix it all together and it's looking sort of like I would expect. Let's see how this turns out.
30 seconds in the Microwave
I let it cook in the microwave for 30 seconds. Not exactly GOURMET food here, but super easy!
Not too promising. The instructions say to mix and microwave another 30 seconds.
Now it sort of looks like a "rustic scramble". Let's plate this delish up!
Review
I would say this was the easiest "scramble" I've ever made! No dicing up potatoes, onions, peppers and mushrooms. No cooking sausage crumbles. Ready to eat in just a few minutes.
The taste was pretty good. I did add some salt and pepper to taste. I enjoyed it! Add a little hot sauce and you'd never know this was a "kit".
