We called in at a local cafe that we hadn't been to for a long time.
It's actually a farm shop so they also sold fruit, veg etc. There is a little gift shop there too.
There was plenty of local, fresh food to choose from. We settled on tomato soup, basil and a bread cob and ....
.... a homity pie with salad and coleslaw. Homity pie is an open vegetable pie. The pastry is usually filled with potatoes, onion and leek, covered in cheese. The drink is a locally brewed beer called Dark Lane Porter, a nice light stout. It was that nice we took a couple of bottles home with us.
We also had a vegetarian quiche with potato wedge, coldslaw and salad. Completely stuffed now!
