Good evening everyone. How is your weekend so far? I hope that it is doing great. Me? I just came back from the province and tonight I cooked for our dinner. We have a lot of canned goods in store which includes sardines so I decided to cook something that involves sardines in it. This dish is called Mishua with sardines but for this I decided to put silk squash in it to make it a little healthy.
This dish is a go to dish for every Filipino family especially if we wanted to have a cheap but delicious meal for our dinner. It is very easy to make and also just requires a little ingredient which can be easily found in some small stores.
These are the ingredients that you need for this dish:
Sardines
Sliced garlic and onion
Mishua
Odong
Sliced silk squash
Cooking oil
Salt and pepper
Lets start cooking, The first step is to saute your sliced garlic and onion in a heated cooking oil in a pan.
Then add your sardines and smash it into small pieces and saute until cooked.
Then add your water and put your salt and pepper in it depending on your taste. You must cover it to let it boil.
If the water is already boiling you now add your silk squash and cover it again until cooked.
Then now you can now add your mishua and odong into it. You must cut it into small pieces for you to eat it easily once cooked.
Then cover it until all of the ingredients become cooked and tender. You can also adjust the flavor of it by adding more salt or pepper depending on your taste.
That is it everyone. You can now serve it for dinner. It is best to eat it with rice and best eatin if it is still hot as well.
TARA KAON :)
