Today we had Ranch style potatoes for lunch.
Ingredients
2lb - Russet potatoes
1lb beef
2 carrots
Vegetable oil, salt black pepper, dill
Additional sides: couscous, sauerkraut
First I heat the oil. Then put chunks of meat in hot oil, salt and pepper it, and let it get brown. Then turn meat on the other side and do the same with it.
I washed and scrubbed potatoes.
Then I cut into pretty big pieces.
Add potatoes to the meat. Cook it for about 10-15 minutes turning potatoes around so all sides get that fried look.
Add carrots to the pot and leave for another 10 minutes. Close the lid. Then move potatoes around again. Keep doing that every 5-10 minutes, until it’s done.
I also took meat out in the middle of cooking and cut it into smaller pieces, so it cooks faster. All in all it took about an hour.
