Hi Foodies, during this pandemic we can't go out of the house too often for things that aren't too important.
We must be smart in choosing food. Choose nutritious foods so that the immune system is maintained. This time I want to make snacks, namely traditional Klepon Pandan cakes.
Klepon is one of the traditional Indonesian foods, the main ingredients are glutinous rice flour and pandan leaves which are sprinkled with grated coconut with brown sugar filling which melts in the mouth when we eat it. Klepon is not widely sold in stores. Usually Klepon is sold in food shops that sell a variety of traditional foods.
The ingredients that I use are all natural, without artificial coloring, and are guaranteed to be healthy.
Ingredients
- Glutinous rice flour (250 gr)
- Rice flour (50 gr)
- Brown sugar
- Pandan leaves (10 pcs)
- Sugar (1 teaspoon)
- Salt (1 teaspoon)
- Grated Coconut
How To Make
Process the grated coconut first, steam for 10 minutes until cooked.
Make a natural pandan paste. Cut the pandan leaves, then blend with water until smooth. Then squeeze while in the filter.
Add 1 teaspoon each of sugar and salt to the pandan paste.
Make dough. Mix the rice flour, glutinous rice flour and pandan paste that has been made in a bowl.
Knead the dough until smooth. Knead the balls until they can be picked up.
Slice brown sugar until smooth.
Fill the center of the dough with brown sugar that has been sliced.
Make the dough into a ball.
Bring the water to a boil, add the balls, when they are cooked they will float. Then drain the balls after they are cooked.
Roll the cooked balls in the grated coconut. Then ready to serve.
