Fried Cassavas, Iced Matcha Latte, and New Vibes

We never know the answer if we never try

A visit to the new coffee shop, for many times this week. I am addicted to the atmosphere at “Kayangan Coffee Shop” which I discussed here a few days ago.

If at that time I came to this coffee shop at night, then this time I came during the day. My goal is to try the latte menu at this place.

I'm quite excited about the new spirit. Well, more precisely with the color of my new clothes that I just dared to try. I've never dared to try on a maroon before. Totally beyond my expectations, it actually made me look brighter and happier. I like it!

While on my way to a coffee shop, I take a self-portrait of myself to assess whether my new color suits me.




Iced Matcha Latte

On previous visits, I had tried the Iced Lemonade Coffee, and it became my favorite!

On this visit, I tried ”Iced Matcha Latte”. Matcha Latte is one of my favorite drinks, so I always like to compare versions at one cafe to another.

So, how's the taste of ”Iced Matcha Latte” by Kayangan Coffee Shop? Actually, it tastes quite good, refreshing. The matcha latte is quite creamy. It's just one that doesn't suit my tongue. It's too sweet for me.

But I don't mind the matcha latte being too sweet. I realized that in some ways we need sweet things after going through some hard things ❤️

Quite refreshing for a super hot and sunny day! I want to increase the portion of the latte again, but I realize that we should not overdo it with ice and sweets. So I restrain myself.




Fried Cassavas With Spicy Sauces

One of my favorite traditional snacks: is fried cassava. I appreciate this coffee shop which provides traditional snacks.

At first, I was craving fried sweet potatoes. But I haven't had any luck this time. Only ”Fried Cassavas” are available here. So I ordered ”Fried Cassavas” and I wasn't disappointed.

The texture of good quality cassavas is soft on the inside and slightly moist. It is a precious pleasure that is sometimes not found in all cassavas. If you are not lucky, you will get a cassava texture that is not soft and feels chewy but feels like you are eating raw cassavas.

Well, in this coffee shop, I'm quite lucky. The taste and texture of the fried cassavas are delicious! the seasoning seeps into the cassavas. The inside is soft and moist, while the outside is still crispy.

With the addition of spicy sauce, it makes the taste even more delicious. Because we Indonesian tongues need a touch of spicy taste, even if only a little. ❤️🌶🌶🌶
