School Choice Voucher Program in Arizona Supports First Amendment

I opened my need apps today, and on the cover of CNN was a large investigative piece about something very relevant to me. As a First Amendment advocate and a homeschooling parent, the ESA money provided by the star of Arizona helps me enrich my child's education.

The ESA program began in Arizona in 2022, which provides vouchers and money for educational items and services for children who are not enrolled in traditional public school.

The ESA supports the First Amendment of the Constitution by allowing parents to send their children to private religious schools they could not afford otherwise. ESA funds can also be used to purchase private music and sports lessons as well as other enrichment items and services that help children develop.

The story emphasized that the ESA is taking money from Public Schools and leading to a loss in funds for students. This is a natural consequence of inferior delivery of lessons during the COVID-19 Pandemic, and schools today push agendas that are harmful and confusing to children. No matter what your political stance is, public schools also are rife with bullying and stifle the expression of religous beliefs.

Our legislature is supporting our First Amendment rights, and I thank them for that. Arizona was the first state in the union to pursue these vouchers, but other states are following suit. Let's help send children to the best education possible and help enrich children's lives with the religious schooling their parents choose for them.
