The Colombian plant.

every day we learn more about plants and their health benefits. The Colombian plant or Kalanchoe pinnata which belongs to the Crassulaceae group native to Madagascar.
The leaf has small seedlings on the margin of the leaf and a Colombian plant is reproduced by one leaf.

The plant contains flavonoids and bufanielolides that act as antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, helping to reduce aging in the body.

Here in our region we consume it in tea or potion to relieve coughs or colds, fever, by adding two leaves to prepare.

Its leaf is also put on fire to extract its oil and apply to skin lesions or in the ear when there is pain and inflammation.

The consumption of this plant in tea should not be prolonged because it can cause toxicity and some disorders in the cardiovascular system. Here we only add two leaves to the tea to serve three people.
