( Raptor ) Boys Don't Cry - A New Hypersensitivosaurus Story

As a little lizard, when his dad was still part of their household cave family, Little Hyper used to cry a lot. Not only was he a little dino and little dinos have many accidents, he was also more sensitive than the average raptor. Being very sensitive as well as little naturally led to lots of crying.

When his mom was around and his dad was out to hunt, crying was okay. She would hug him, as far as her bigger - but still tiny compared to the rest of her body - raptor arms allowed and she would whisper comforting words in his ear holes.

Little hyper felt safe around her and, usually, after some serious sobbing, a sense of relief would wash over him - like being wrapped in a warm blanket.

Crying around his dad was an entirely different story though...

No need to cry, son.

Male raptors don't cry.

Don't you want to grow up tough, like me?

Although his father probably meant well, this treatment - contrary to his mom's - really confused Li'l Hyper and it kept confusing him up till today.

After having left his mom's cave, shortly after turning into an adult raptor male, things hadn't become easier, to say the least.

Nowadays, whenever he felt like crying - and that happened more often than he'd like to admit - he just couldn't get himself to do so. This inability to relieve himself with some serious sobbing made him feel worse.

He didn't know how to deal with his emotions and suffice to say that this made him more than a little hyper.
