Alaskan sunset over Cook inlet.
A thick bank of fog and clouds
obscures the mighty Alaskan range
of mountains and volcanoes
that stretch towards Russia.
Also known as the Aleutian chain.
Colorful sunsets and sunrises
are not that common of a occurrence
here on the Kenai peninsula.
Most are grey and blotted out
like it is today.
We are expecting more leftover
typhoons that are coming up rapidly
from Asia. Lots of heavy rain that you
would think would make for flooding.
The ground is like a sponge, soaking
it up as it comes.
There us a change in the season
from late summer to early fall.
The leaves are looking wore out
and starting to signal this time.

The Dixie fire in north eastern
California has already obliterated
a few small towns like Greenville.
