Hello everyone

This morning I intend to pay homage and ask for blessings from "Thao Wessuwan", a large giant statue located at Khao Rang Temple, near the Khao Rang viewpoint. Thai people believe that Thao Wessuwan brings good fortune to those who come to ask for blessings. The popular way to pay homage is to use red roses all offerings are red.

The first time I came to pay homage to Thao Wessuwan at this temple, I prepared offerings such as red roses, red water, red cloth, and red candles by buying them from a flower shop because I didn't know that Khao Rang Temple sold offerings. This time, I came to buy offerings at Khao Rang Temple, which was convenient and the temple prepared them in sets each set had a different price. I chose the 189 baht set, which included 9 red roses, 1 betel nut of red water, 1 set of betel leaves, incense sticks, and candles. After getting the offerings, I walked to the front area where the large Thao Wessuwan statue stood out prominently on the stairs leading up to the chapel. The area in front of Thao Wessuwan was full of offerings that people had brought, such as many red roses, and red water, and the smell of incense spread throughout the area.

After I paid my respects and made a wish, I placed my offerings in the area provided by the temple. Then I walked up the stairs behind Thao Wessuwan to the upper chapel, which is located on a hill. When you look down below, you will see a beautiful view.

This chapel is located on a quiet hill because most people come to pay homage to Thao Wessuwan and then leave. I like the atmosphere up here because it has a cool breeze. Inside the chapel is a small white Buddha statue. The walls are painted with pictures of the life of the Buddha. The doors and windows are beautifully carved. Inside the chapel is quiet and sometimes some devotees come to sit and chant and meditate.

After paying my respects to the principal Buddha image in the chapel, I went to pay my respects to the large golden Buddha image located some distance away. This Buddha image is very large and sits on a golden hill, sparkling in the sunlight. The golden Buddha image is sitting on a pink lotus in a cross-legged position. The blue sky contrasts beautifully with the golden Buddha image.

After paying homage to the big Buddha statue, before returning, I went to pay homage and ask for blessings from Ganesha, whom I respect very much. Nowadays, Thai people have a lot of faith and belief in sacred things. Because of the bad economy, money is hard to find, causing many Thai people to seek spiritual support for themselves. Therefore, Buddhist commerce is a very flourishing business in Thailand, whether it is selling sacred objects or various worship items.
