Rainy Day at Naka Market

Hello everyone

Today it rained all day until I felt lazy and didn't want to go anywhere I just wanted to sleep all day. In the evening, I felt hungry and tired of the instant food we often eat. At around 4:30 p.m., I drove through the rain to Naka Market, a night market that is only open on Saturdays and Sundays. Naka Market was the biggest night market in Phuket 10 years ago. It was a night market where tourists had to go shopping when they came to Phuket. Nowadays, the liveliness has changed a lot. It took me about 30 minutes to drive. Even though the market is not far from my house when it rains, there is traffic bad, so I have to spend more time on the road than usual.

When I parked my car, I immediately opened my umbrella and went into the market because it was raining heavily and windy outside. There were not many tourists in the market. I walked straight to the pizza truck to order a pizza for my husband because my husband loves pizza here and it is not expensive. After ordering the pizza, I did not have to wait long, about 15 minutes. So I stood and waited for the pizza because I was too lazy to come back to get it later because my car was parked on the other side of the market.

After getting the pizza, I walked back the same way to buy food for me and my son. After getting all the food, I walked around the market. I hadn't been to this night market in a long time because I was tired of the traffic. The market is full of shops but there aren't many tourists shopping.

This market is divided into 2 zones: the food zone and the clothing and souvenir zone. I usually come to the clothing zone, which is the largest zone. There are fashionable clothes, exercise clothes, bags, etc., including handmade products, which are mostly sold to foreign tourists. There are many souvenirs here and they come in many forms.

I walked around the market and nothing I liked, so I decided to go home. Maybe it's because I usually order clothes online on TikTok and the styles are beautiful and diverse. Most importantly, the prices are much cheaper than the market. On the way home, it didn't stop raining. In addition to the rain, the traffic was very heavy. It took 20 minutes to get through the 1-kilometer distance in front of the market.
