Value over gold

Money answers all things, goes a saying. If looked at on the surface, one will agree to the above statement, but deeply one will understand that money only answers to feasting and luxuries. Above gold are so many things with greater value, some of which are health and reputation, these are things money can't buy absolutely. Gold is good, but these two are better. Better is a poor man with a good name and sound health, than a wealthy man with a bad name or suffers from an illness.

One thing that speaks through generations is a good name(one's reputation). History of one's wealth can easily be replaced when another with a greater wealth emerges but a good name remains through generations. I can trade other things for gold, but I can't trade my reputation for gold. A good name is better than riches, it's often a matter of value over gold and not the luxuries that last for a few years.

If at a point you're apt to trade anything for gold, this only implies that the substance is more valuable than gold. One can become rich again after going poor but once a reputation is lost, one can hardly get it bad. Gold is a temporary asset that vanishes after some time. Surely it will make one enjoy his days but they're assets that fade with time. If there's one thing I'll never trade for gold, no matter the amount involved, is the good name I bear. A good name is better than gold and silvers, their value remains from generation to generation.
