Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho singled out the club's £54m record marking Tanguy Ndombele for analysis in the wake of subbing the midfielder at half-time in the 1-1 draw at Burnley.

Prods overwhelmed midfield in the opening 45 minutes and Burnley promoted when Chris Wood put the hosts ahead.

Ndombele and Oliver Skipp cleared a path for Giovani lo Celso and Lucas Moura at the crush as Spurs battled spirit for a draw.

"In the principal half we didn't have a midfield," said Mourinho.

"Obviously I'm not discussing Skipp in light of the fact that he's a child of 19 who's played two hours over the most recent couple of days. I don't condemn him by any stretch of the imagination.

"Be that as it may, I'm not going to flee and I need to state he [Ndombele] has had sufficient opportunity to go to an alternate level.

"I realize the Premier League is troublesome, and a few players set aside a long effort to adjust to an alternate group.
