Minimalist/Fear of Sapa or Mr Krabs?

It's been a while since I participated in the #leofinance #marchinleo prompt, not since my Hive Idol post anyways...
Regardless, the prompt for today is one thing which has been in my mind for a while now...

Minimalism, Budgeting and Mindfulness...

Three key aspects of life I've been forced to explore now as I'm stepping into adulthood.
These terms become even more prominent in a youngsters life of the economy they're brought up in is especially unforgiving πŸ˜”

Which leads me to the topic of the post...

I've recently dawdled in the Minimalist Community went there to read their posts and ideas (not about the watering curation at all🀀)
I could relate with what some of them were saying and apparently doing...
Buying little, thinking about what one needs and doesn't need, decluttering and whatnot...
Yet as much as I could relate to this way of life I just couldn't seem to claim and post about it.

I don't buy much, I'm quite thoughtful before I decide to buy something is more accurate...

So does my unwillingness to flaunt my money -(speaking in future tense cause I absolutely don't have flaunting money yetπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚)-make me a minimalist?

This was the question I've been asking myself for a while now.

Then it hit me..

Are you sure it's just not fear of Sapa?

That thought really changed the whole perspective πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
It was no longer...

Are you a full minimalist?

It was now...

Are you sure you just don't want to get broke? πŸ˜‚

The economy in #naija no dey look if you just dey enter adulthood, sometimes e no reason if you be adult at all...
Sapa is unilaterally wickedπŸ˜‚
Hence, we see a huge uptrend in minimalism. A rise in budgeting of what you buy and mindfulness of how you use that which was bought.
It's a draining cycle, because the price of today is certainly not going to be the price of tomorrow...

The concept of minimalism was originally gotten from art, when an artist used the minimal amount of elements to give a piece it's maximum effect.
Most people have claimed it as a lifestyle, some because of their idealogies, others because of circumstances, while some just because they can.

If I were to call myself a minimalist, then I would be in the second boat.
Because of my now understood value of money, I could be a minimalist of circumstance...
Yet I do fancy, want and yearn for the filthy rich kind of money where I don't have to look at the price tag of whatever commodity I pick in the supermarket.
A load of money that I have stored up, yet I'll still do the budgeting and over mindfulness of what I buy, because I don't want to spend the money I'm continuously racking upπŸ˜‚...

Guess I'm just a Mister Krabs πŸ˜‚
