I hope this falls into the trait thing, because after all the thinking, it was the only thing I saw similar in everyone of my family. Of course we do have other traits together but one person or two isn't in the equation. So this one I thought about brings everyone in one place.
It's amazing how deep in love and otherwise a family can get, even some traits are just there without the members of the family realizing they all have it. For this particular trait, I keep confirming it whenever my family is at it again.
I can't think back to when I first started to love music and even sing a song well, I think it just happened because I grew up with dad who is a big lover of music and would sing all day if given the chance. Dad had more albums of music than of movies and even more, most movies dad made us see growing up had music in it.
I can say all those actions from dad may have played a role in how we live now as regards to music but it is also more of an inbuilt trait in us. My family and I find it very easy to learn a song or learn with songs as if our brains have a way to make even the most difficult situations simple when a tune is added to it.
When did I realize we all had this trait? You won't believe me if I say I didn't think much into the fact that dad and my siblings enjoy singing to say it is one thing we have in common. It was until I spent time with mum and she didn't let my ears go to rest for every moment she was busy with her hands working.
Note, they all sound amazing when they sing. Even my dad still surprises me when he sings as if it's a first time thing for me. He would hit notes that are high randomly and we would all laugh at it but deep down, we can tell just how cool it was to hear. Mum is our Opera singer, her soprano voice keeps getting impressive.
I don't even need to start talking about my siblings and I, I think we still have a long way to go in this music thing. But on the path, we've never seen any reason not to sing and it has helped our singing ability stay in good shape while we are working towards being great at it.
My younger brother remains the song instructor of my family and others. You can't sing a song off where my Bro is and not get a full course on how to sing that song better, we've had to learn songs better and more differently thanks to him. Up till now, I feel he hasn't used up to 10% of what he has inside of him musically.
How do I feel about having this trait with my family? Grateful, excited and hopeful! This trait makes me look forward to more days with my family together in one space and I feel grateful whenever I get to use my singing ability for good purposes. The excitement is always there because yeah! I love singing a lot and it excites me anytime.
