Unreachable hope

It's now an open secret that the condition of Nigeria is not possible to amend. There is no where to put hope again. The federal government has failed, the state, the local government, even the individuals or relatives to turn to are looking for someone they will turn to. The economy of the country is becoming worse everyday. The everyday message is that things will get better, then I use to ask them. Till when? Is it when this generation wipes and a new generation comes up. The question is, if you ask me, who will I ask? All I believe is that we will surely survive.

The one that pains me most is increment in the price of fuel which has caused every other thing to rise in price and as goods and services are increasing in price most of the goods are reducing in quantity, even in their quality too. After that, we were encouraged that things will come down very soon. For months we were waiting for the " very soon" while things were getting worse everyday. Another painful side of the country was protest that recently took place beacuse many Nigerians are finding it difficult to even see half square meal a day, let alone three square meal in a day. After loosing lives and properties at the cost the protest, things keep getting worse.
Then we were encouraged that at list food items will get better this season of harvest but even the season is almost finishing yet I have not seen any positive change in price instead the price of some remains steady while some are still increasing beacuse the cust of production is very high like fertilizer and other pesticide. Imagine that even in the village that I resides, four leaves of pumpkin (ugu) is two hundred naira. In this rainy season oo. How much more when we enter dry season or in the towns.

So, I'm seeing decrease in the price of foodstuffs or goods and commodities generally in Nigeria as an unrealistic expectations beacuse we have seen many genarations and many genarations has met us while we are still waiting. One government will come and claim that there is no money left on sit, that we should give them time. We remain patient till the end of the tenure and the time do not come. Another one comes in and say we should give them time, that one year is not enough. Time, time they say. While one day was more than enough for them to worsen the economy of the country and make the life of many citizens miserable.
Hmmm, it's high time we stood on our feet. I have looked at these mountains and I asked; where can our help come from? Not really from within, but our help can only come from our source which is our maker, for he will never leave nor forsake us.

Thanks for checking on my blog. I really appreciate.
