Welcome to the first official HiveNaija-FPL post. In this post, I will briefly explain what this initiative is all about; what you should expect in the coming weeks; how to register for the cash prizes.
The HiveNaijaFPL is a sub-community under the hivenaija community with the aim of bringing English Premier League Fantasy Football enthusiasts into the Web 3 space. We want to give you a platform to share your passion with other FPL enthusiasts and also earn while doing what you love.
Unlike most private leagues, we are not asking for a registration fee. Registration for our League, cup, and head-2-head challenges is free! The only caveat is that you have a hive account.
What is Hive?
Hive is a decentralized blockchain with a handful of social applications like Leofinance/Leothread which is a microblogging platform like Twitter. However, unlike Twitter, you get to earn for your social interactions. This is the major DAPP we will be utilizing to build our community.
For our social interactions and future giveaways, we will be using the leofinance platform. This is why we urge those who want to win prizes to create a Hive account.
HOW TO CREATE A HIVE ACCOUNT.
Simply visit leofinance.io/sign-up to create an account. You will be required to verify your identity via your Twitter or Gmail. Once this process is complete, you will be prompted to download a set of keys which will give you access to the hive blockchain.
I have a step-by-step video on YouTube on how to create an account if you need help. If you do need further guidance join our discord channel. There will be someone here to guide you.
If this is too much for you simply signup with your Twitter or Gmail account. Note that you will not have full access to the hive blockchain. You will need to do that to enjoy some of our mouth-watering prizes, so the choice is yours to make (no pressure).
REGISTER FOR THE HIVENAIJA-FPL LEAGUE:
To qualify for our cash prizes, you need to register your FPL team. After you are done creating your hive account kindly fill out the form below:
We are also running a referral initiative. Get 5 persons to register for the league and stand the chance to win N10,000 naira at the beginning of the FPL season. Invite your friends to join and ask them to input your hive username in the referral box at the bottom of the registration form.
