My favorite inspirational quote. **"Believe you can and you are halfway there".**

Greetings my wonderful readers. Welcome to my blog. Thanks to @hivenaija for this week's prompts.

One of my favorite quotes comes from Theodore Roosevelt: One of the most inspiring and general phrases we hear often is, ‘’believing you can and you are half way there ”. This quote has helped me sail through life very easy. I have learnt to believe and just the believe has pushed me to do really great things.

When people believe in the need and capability to change then that is enough to start the change process. It implies a few things: first, it asserts our willingness to believe that in having the ability to do something, or go somewhere, you can indeed Qmake it to there. Whether we are pursuing personal ambitions, professional aspirations, or even simple daily tasks, the first step often begins with that internal affirmation: ‘I can do it’. This is the type of belief that gets one ready for the action to be taken. Without it we may be in a situation of indecision, fear of failure and even fear of success.

When we apply Roosevelt’s quote to our every day experiences, then multiple outcomes can be observed. Let us for instance, apply this into the context of a student preparing for his examinations. This pressure can be immense but if a learner feels that he or she can do it, he or she will do everything required to make it happen. This confidence may be manifested in their attitude towards a subject, and change their studying behavior for the better and thus guarantee them better performance. On the other hand, lack of belief may result in delay and negative attitude which in turns will produce a failure cycle.

At the workplace, it means career progression, the essence of which I see clearly as a student. When an employee feels motivated to take on a tough task, he or she is prepared to seek for solutions, and to go outside the box. Such a thinking manner not only enhances their own job prospects but also creates other positive impacts on team and organization.

It is an established fact that life cannot be devoid of challenges and Roosevelt’s quotation simply makes it clear that belief helps where there is a challenge. Let’s take an example of a business person, for example, an entrepreneur. The things are not different when starting your own business, everyone faces risks, uncertainties and failures. However, those who do not lose faith in their vision and their possibilities of succeeding are the ones who continue, transform and indeed triumph. It serves as beacon of hope against which they always refer, during storms of uncertainty and fear.

Further, this principle applies to self-system issues, development, health and relationship among individuals. This explains that if a person has some positive thinking when it comes to a particular situation, he or she will be prepared and will seek information, support and possible solutions. It can help in building up strength and hope which are some of the important attributes when it comes to recovery.
