There are a lot of opportunities not known to many, realising how scarce valuable information is or how some people are disconnected from the rest of the world making it difficult to be aware of available opportunities. As a result of this, I consider it to be a Duty of mine to share with others Whenever I come across opportunities that can help others, especially when money is involved. those in close proximity to me are usually the first to know, especially those in my immediate circle or family. after I must have informed those known to me, I still feel the need to let more people know, so I usually write about the opportunity on my WhatsApp status to create more awareness and get I. touch with a large audience.
Information is very vital in any form of opportunity, so whenever any interested individual drops by to make enquiries on the opportunity I have shared, I go extra miles to give them every bit of information I have to the best of my knowledge but along the line there is a reaction have noticed. though it is left for them to believe what ever I have said, you can't force opportunities on people but when they see the effort I'm putting to assist them in utilising the available opportunities, then this question pops up What do you stand to gain from creating this awareness for this opportunity? have heard it many times but this question is quite difficult for me to answer sometimes because I find myself wondering Must I have an agenda or something to gain before I can create awareness for an opportunity that people can benefit from?
In this present generation, we have a lot of online business and other stuff that make use of referral bonus and rewards to attract people to join and also encourage others to refer such online business to others. based on this, have seen people go extra miles to refer people to earn a bonus without caring of any possible danger such platform could cause those they are referring, as long as they get their bonus and reward nothing else matters. this attitude as made people really paranoid and reluctant to take advantage of opportunities even if the facts are clear. some kind of traumatic effects of online fraud and Ponzi scheme which is rampant these days.
When it comes to hive, it is even more complex to explain all the amazing opportunities and benefits available on hive without sounding like a fraudster 😅 because to most people it sounds too good to be true, especially when you are trying to explain the crypto aspect of hive. So most times I send the link of hive FAQ to them to read for themselves.
From my knowledge of how I was referred to hive by a friend which i have mentioned in most the post have written, so i won't tag him today😅 but he is the founder of Newbies initiative of hive. on that faithful day I saw it on his WhatsApp status and I entered his DM to make more enquiries about the opportunity he shared, he explained to me and also added me to a WhatsApp group where he tutored his referrals about how to go about their hive blog, most especially writing of introductory post and to educate us on the dangers of plagiarism on hive blog. he also delegated HP to me, to assist my hive career and up till this moment he still check up on me to know how I'm doing, the weird part is, despite how far i have gone on hive anytime i face some kind of difficulties on hive i run to him for advice😅
Knowing how much effort he made, I believed I deserve to return the favour also, just like they say To whom more is given, more is expected I made use of the same approach also, I referred my friends and others but what I noticed was, most of them wanted a quick paying kind of gig and I'm like hive is not like that, you have to put in work and effort first before you could consider reaping the rewards and if you are planning a long term journey on hive, it is better to keep reinvesting your earnings into your hive account by powering up HP, in order to be able to perform more activities on hive and increase curation power and curation rewards but for some of them this kind of things doesn't seem to matter.

So far i have onboarded 26 people on hive, though some of them are no longer active, I assist them with HP delegations and RC delegations till they have a substantial amount of HP to push forward on their own, though upvotes are not guaranteed because I'm fond of upvoting comments than I upvote post just to encourage and promote the value of quality comment and engagement on hive blog but despite this I add them to my curation trail. I also assist other newbies too especially those i encounter during #dreemport marathon challenge. Based on my experience so far I realise upvotes is very important in encouraging newbies on hive and sometimes I make them beneficiaries of my post reward and occasionally distribute tokens and ecency points to anyone in need of it, as a reward for their effort so far.
Though there is some kind of reward for referring hive to others, you get a badge if those you successfully referred are above ten (10), hive reward and a beneficiary reward from those referred which can be reset by such individuals to ensure the only account and user that benefit from their post is theirs, if I'm being sincere I have never paid any attention to such rewards, sharing the gospel of the opportunities and knowledge available on hive just seems like the right thing to do.
