Greetings to all the #Aliento Community, it's a pleasure to be here, already in the middle of the week. Today I want to open a discussion topic to ask you, what #Team are you and what do you prefer to use more when making your posts? Ecency, Peakd, or both?

  Today I am only going to share my opinion about both platforms, which work as internet browsers to work within the #Blockchain. With this post I only seek to express my opinion about the use of both, in a very respectful way, focusing a little on the pros and cons of each one.

  Before I get started, I confess that since I started in #HIVE I always used #Peakd, from the beginning, it was always recommended to me and I obeyed without questioning who advised me. However, for some time now and just about the middle of this year, I decided to give #Ecency a try and test its interface.

  As you know both platforms are similar, but they are not the same, not even concerning their design. Each one has different options and visualizations that make them unique and special for each user. So I'll talk a bit about what I liked most about Ecency and Peakd respectively, along with what I didn't like about each to make the post more understandable.

𝙻𝚎𝚝'𝚜 𝚝𝚊𝚕𝚔 𝚊𝚋𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝙴𝚌𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚢

Origin

  This interface has several aspects that have pleased me as a user and motivate me to continue using it. Among them are:

• The style of your notifications: I like that your notifications are more detailed than those shown in Peakd in a general way. With Ecency I can see who voted for me, how much they voted for me, commented on a post, mentioned me, and much more in a very well-broken-down way.

• The Ecency Points: Although I have never used them and am just accumulating them to see what I will do with them later, I am pleased to know that I can earn something “extra” just for using a frontend to create content.

• The use of tags: Although only 10 tags are allowed to be added per post, Ecency has two extra tags that are automatically added without the user seeing them, which are #Ecency and the name of the Community where you post.

• The wallet display: this is one of my favorite parts of Ecency. At the bottom of the purse, it also shows in detail all the movements made on the account, i.e., gains for healing or supporting a Trail, for a comment that you were voted for, among others.

• The Android App: From its design to its performance, I'm sticking with the Ecency app. Again, I like the details, especially at the level of notifications, on my phone relatively “faster” than KeyChain.

  These features are the most important ones for me that have made me like Ecency, but since not everything is perfect, now it's my turn to talk about what I didn't like:

• Based on the short experience I have, I have only had one small complaint and it is something that has given me problems after making a post. **It is the fact of editing a post. **

  Although it is recommended not to make edits once a post is published, to make it more original and therefore it is necessary to review everything in detail before publishing something in HIVE (since it cannot be deleted or changed from the backend), I always have one or two errors in writing or spelling that I want to modify and that is why I use the editor.

  But this is the only thing that Ecency has failed me on this occasion, however, their Discord team has advised me wonderfully to solve this setback. I have no more complaints about the rest.

𝙻𝚎𝚝'𝚜 𝚝𝚊𝚕𝚔 𝚊𝚋𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝙿𝚎𝚊𝚔𝚍

Origin

  Peakd is one of the most special Frontend for me, it has a few aspects that I like and as I said in the beginning it was the first interface I used since I started in HIVE, so I have much more experience with it than with Ecency. Among the features of my liking stand out:

• The Option to Translate Text to your Native Language when a User only wrote in one language: This is one of the options that I like the most in Peakd, when you enter a post that does not have a Spanish translation, this platform allows you to access an Artificial Intelligence or AI option where you can automatically translate the text contained in a post.

• Place the Beneficiary or Beneficiaries Automatically: I give this point to Peakd with my eyes closed. It has the option to place the number of beneficiaries you want for your posts at once and permanently without having to place them every time you go to build a publication.

• It has markup options that are not visible in Ecency or Hive.Blog: In this case, you only get to see the text box summarized in Peakd. A code that I like to use in my posts. It is a pity that it only works for this platform and not for the others.

• If you go to Use YouTube Links, it tells you whether or not they are viewed directly: I often use YouTube links to talk about a particular artist, musician, or movie within my posts, so I like such videos to be viewed directly in my post without the need for my readers to go to YouTube to watch the video.

• Its Security Level with the KeyChain: The fact that it asks you for the key for all the movements you make within Peakd is one of the aspects that most inspire me the confidence to use this platform.

  As for what I don't like about this Frontend, I would have to say:

• How general the notifications are and that I have had to keep changing nodes to get it to work correctly. Yes, Peakd as well as Ecency have presented failures to me, maybe after some maintenance or some update, but this is not a reason to give it an X and discard it completely. As with everything in life, these kinds of details have a solution and they are always very easy to solve.

𝚆𝚑𝚒𝚌𝚑 𝚘𝚗𝚎 𝚒𝚜 𝚋𝚎𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛: 𝙴𝚌𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚢 𝚘𝚛 𝙿𝚎𝚊𝚔𝚍?

Ecency & Peakd

  The answer to this question lies with yourself, there is no right or wrong here, nor is one better than the other. Both Ecency and Peakd have and will have their pros and cons, something to improve and something to maintain to keep working as they have been doing.

  Answering this depends on each person's taste, so I wanted to open a debate to find out which of the two you prefer to use and why. I'd love to read the answer to this in the comments. I for one am #TeamBoth. I like them both, both have a lot to offer for every HIVE user and adapt nicely to the demands of the user.

  Since I started HIVE, to this day, I feel very happy with both Peakd and Ecency. So I can only tell you to feel free to dig in and try new things that will help you grow in the Blockchain that we love so much.

  El día de hoy sólo voy a compartir mi opinión sobre ambas plataformas, que funcionan como navegadores de internet para trabajar dentro de la #Blockchain. Con este post sólo busco plasmar mi opinión sobre el uso de ambas, de manera muy respetuosa, enfocando un poco los pros y contras de cada una.

  Antes de iniciar de lleno, les confieso que desde que inicié en #HIVE siempre usé #Peakd, desde un principio siempre me la recomendaron y yo obedecí usarla sin cuestionar a quien me asesoraba. Sin embargo, de un tiempo para acá y justamente casi a mediados de este año, decidí darle una oportunidad a #Ecency y probar su interfaz.

  Como saben ambas plataformas se parecen, pero no son exactamente igual, ni siquiera en relación a su diseño. Cada una tiene opciones y visualizaciones diferentes que las hacen únicas y especiales para cada usuario. Así que hablaré un poco de lo que me gustó más de Ecency y de Peakd respectivamente, junto con lo que no me gustó de cada una para hacer el post más comprensible.

𝙷𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚎𝚖𝚘𝚜 𝚍𝚎 𝙴𝚌𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚢

Origen

  Esta interfaz presenta varios aspectos que me han agradado como usuario y me motivan a seguirla usando. Entre ellos están:

• El estilo de sus notificaciones: Me agrada que sus notificaciones sean más detalladas que las que se muestran en Peakd de manera general. Con Ecency puedo ver quién me votó, cuánto me votó, me comentó algún post, me mencionó y mucho más de manera muy bien desglosada.

• Los Puntos Ecency: Aunque nunca los he usado y sólo los estoy acumulando para ver qué haré con ellos más adelante, me agrada saber que puedo ganar algo "extra" sólo por usar una frontend para crear contenido.

• El uso de las etiquetas: aunque son sólo 10 etiquetas lo que se permite agregar por cada post, Ecency tiene dos etiquetas extras que van agregadas de manera automática sin que el usuario las vea, que son #Ecency y el nombre de la Comunidad donde publicas.

• La visualización del monedero: esta es una de mis partes favoritas de Ecency. En la parte inferior del monedero muestra detalladamente también todos los movimientos hechos en la cuenta, es decir, ganancias por curación o apoyar algún Trail, por algún comentario que te votaron, entre otros.

• Su aplicación para Android: desde su diseño hasta su funcionamiento, me quedo con la App de Ecency. Otra vez, me agradan mucho los detalles, sobre todo a nivel de notificaciones, además que en mi teléfono relativamente más "rápido" que la de KeyChain.

  Estas características son las más importantes para mí que han hecho que Ecency me agrade, pero como no todo es perfecto, ahora me toca hablar sobre lo que no me ha gustado:

• En base a la corta experiencia que tengo, sólo he tenido una pequeña queja y es algo que me ha dado problemas luego de realizar una publicación. Es el hecho de la edición de un post.

  Si bien se recomienda no realizar ediciones una vez publicado un post, con el fin de que sea más original y por ende hay que revisar todo bien detalladamente antes de publicar algo en HIVE (ya que no se puede borrar ni cambiar de la backend), siempre me queda uno que otro error de redacción u ortografía que deseo modificar y para esto es que uso el editor.

  Pero en esta ocasión es en lo único que me ha fallado Ecency, sin embargo, su equipo de trabajo por Discord, me ha asesorado de maravilla para solventar este contratiempo. Del resto no tengo más ninguna queja.

𝙷𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚎𝚖𝚘𝚜 𝚍𝚎 𝙿𝚎𝚊𝚔𝚍

Origen

  Peakd es una de las Frontend más especiales para mí, tiene unos cuantos aspectos que me agradan y como dije en un principio fue la primera interfaz que usé desde que inicié en HIVE, por lo que tengo mucha más experiencia con ella que con Ecency. Entre las características de mi agrado destacan:

• La Opción para Traducir Texto a tu Lengua Nativa cuando un Usuario sólo escribió en un idioma: Esta es una de las opciones que más me agrada de Peakd, al entrar en un post que no tiene traducción al Español, esta plataforma te permit acceder a una opción de Inteligencia Artificial o AI donde puedes traducir de manera automática el texto que contenga alguna publicación.

• Colocar el o los Beneficiarios de Manera Automática: Este punto se lo doy a Peakd con los ojos cerrados. Tiene una opción para colocar la cantidad que quieras de beneficiarios para tus posts de una sola vez y de manera permanente sin tener que colocarlos cada vez que vayas a armar una publicación.

• Tiene opciones de Marqueteado que no se aprecian en Ecency ni Hive.Blog: En este caso, sólo se llega a apreciar la cajita de texto resumido en Peakd. Un código que me gusta mucho usar en mis posts. Es una lástima que sólo sirva para esta plataforma y no para las demás.

• Si vas a Usar Enlaces de YouTube, te indica si se ven o no de manera directa: Yo suelo usar a menudo enlaces de YouTube para hablar de algún artista, músico o película particular dentro de mis publicaciones, por lo tanto, me gusta que tales videos se vean directamente en mi post sin necesidad de que mis lectores se dirijan a YouTube para ver el video.

• Su Nivel de Seguridad con la KeyChain: que te pida la clave para todos los movimientos que realizas dentro de Peakd es una de los aspectos que más me inspira confianza para utilizar esta plataforma.

  En cuanto a lo que no me gusta de esta Frontend, tendría que decir:

• Lo general que son las notificaciones y que he tenido que andar cambiando de nodos para que me funcione correctamente. Si, Peakd al igual que Ecency me han presentado fallas, tal vez después de algún mantenimiento o alguna actualización, pero esto no es razón para colocarle una X y descartarlo por completo. Como todo en la vida, este tipo de detalles tienen solución y siempre son muy sencillas de solventar.

¿𝙲𝚞á𝚕 𝚎𝚜 𝙼𝚎𝚓𝚘𝚛: 𝙴𝚌𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚢 𝚘 𝙿𝚎𝚊𝚔𝚍?

  La respuesta a esta pregunta recae en ti mismo, aquí no hay bueno ni malo, ni una es mejor que la otra en realidad. Tanto Ecency como Peakd tienen y tendrán sus pros y contras, algo que mejorar y algo que mantener para seguir funcionando como lo viene haciendo.

  Responder esto depende del gusto de cada quien, por eso quise abrir un debate para saber cuál de los dos prefieres usar y ¿por qué? La respuesta a esto me encantará leerla en los comentarios. Yo por mi parte, soy #TeamAmbos. Me gustan las dos, ambas tienen mucho que ofrecer para cada usuario de HIVE y se adapta de manera agradable a las demandas de quien las usa.

  Desde que inicié en HIVE, hasta el sol de hoy, me siento muy conforme tanto con Peakd como con Ecency. Así que sólo me queda decirte que te sientas libre de indagar y probar cosas nuevas que te ayuden a crecer dentro de la Blockchain que tanto amamos.
