Después de un fin de semana bastante tranquilo y sin novedades médicas, que incluso nos permitió dar un paseo y recibir una visita de parientes, la madrugada del domingo nos recordó la fragilidad del paciente de cáncer.
Malestar general, producto quizás de una mala digestión del almuerzo nos mantuvo en vela buena parte de la madrugada.

After a fairly quiet weekend with no medical news, which even allowed us to go for a walk and receive a visit from relatives, the early hours of Sunday morning reminded us of the fragility of the cancer patient.
General discomfort and nausea, perhaps due to poor digestion after lunch, kept us awake for a good part of the morning.
@manujune no pudo desayunar y estuvo a punto de reusarse a asistir al Banco Municipal de Sangre a recibir su dosis de quimio.
Era como si había recibido dosis doble de quimio el sábado y el domingo. Es increíble como su fuerza y su estado de ánimo pueden cambiar de un día a otro.

@manujune was unable to have breakfast and was very closet to refusing to go for her chemo.
It was as if she had received double doses of chemo on Saturday and Sunday. It's amazing how your strength and mood can change from day to day.
Por ser lunes, el banco de sangre estaba a reventar. Sin embargo, una de las doctoras que ha seguido su caso fue muy generosa en atenderla de inmediato y prescribir hidratación para que recuperará fuerzas y pudiera desayunar. No sé puede aplicar la quimio con el estómago vacío.
Pudo desayunar cerca del medio día y media hora después empezó a recibir su tratamiento.

Since it was Monday, the blood bank was packed. However, one of the doctors who has been following @manujune's case was very generous in checking her immediately and prescribing hydration so that she could recover her strength and have breakfast. Chemo cannot be applied on an empty stomach.
She was able to eat around noon and half an hours later started to receive her treatment.
Salimos del banco de sangre pasadas las dos de la tarde. Después de un fuerte aguacero, el sol volvió a salir como si nada.

We left the blood bank after two o'clock in the afternoon. After a heavy downpour, the sun came back out like it was nothing.
Aunque no se sentía muy bien, por lo menos no hubo incidentes en el camino.

Even though she did not feel well, there were no incidents on our way back to the apartment.
Esperamos que pase buena noche y mañana podamos volver sin problemas por la segunda dosis de la semana. Esto es un trabajo en progreso, lento y delicado y esperamos poder desarrollar la paciencia y entereza para llegar a feliz término.

We hope she has a good night and tomorrow we can return safely for the second dose of the week. This is a slow and delicate work in progress and we hope we can develop the patience and fortitude to see it through to a successful conclusion.
