Hola, muy buenos días un saludo a la comunidad de hive, como les va?, en esta oportunidad les traigo otras de experiencias como estudiante de Medicina, estas guardias forman parte de mi día a día y es una de las experiencias mas estresantes, pero haciendo un trabajo eficiente y adecuado el mas gratificante, para entrar en contexto la guardia fue en el servicio de Gineco&Obstetric para mi uno de los servios más lindos, ya que cumples la tarea que acarrea la mas grande de las responsabilidades pero tambien la y satisfacción que es traer una vida al mundo.
hello, good morning, greetings to the hive community, how are you doing?, this time I bring you other experiences as a medical student, these shifts are part of my day to day and it is one of the most stressful experiences, but doing an efficient and adequate job the most rewarding, to enter into context the shift was in the Gynecology & Obstetric service for me one of the most beautiful services, since you fulfill the task that carries the greatest of responsibilities but also the satisfaction that is to bring a life into the world.
Como estudiantes de Medicina, llegamos al momento de entrar a la llamada "área clínica", que es cuando comienzas a tener contacto directo con los pacientes, empiezas a ver las llamadas "servicios rotatorios", que es donde estás durante algún tiempo en cada una de las áreas de la carrera de Medicina, donde comienzas a darte cuenta de: lo que te gustaría, aumentan tus ganas de especializarte en alguna área o sencillamente cambias, de manera repentina, de gusto por esa rama de la Medicina que siempre quisiste.
As medical students, we arrive at the moment of entering the so-called "clinical area", which is when you begin to have direct contact with the patients, you begin to see the so-called "rotating services", which is where you are for some time in each of the areas of the Medicine career, where you begin to realize: what you would like, your desire to specialize in some area increases or you simply suddenly change your taste for that branch of Medicine that you always wanted.
Ahora bien, la sala de Ginecología y Obstetricia es una de esas salas donde comienza a perder el sentido del olfato porque existen olores no tan agradables a los cuales debes acostumbrarte y a hacer lo imposible por no entrar en un colapso mental (lo mas difícil), en esa sala puedes encontrar una mezcla entre olores de sangre, orina, heces, líquido amniótico. De igual forma es seguro escuchar gritos y desespero de esas mujeres por expulsar a ese bebe que llevo en su vientre durante 9 meses, por lo general puedes tambien escuchar insultos, lamentos, maldiciones, y súplicas.
Now, the gynecology and obstetrics ward is one of those wards where you begin to lose your sense of smell because there are not-so-pleasant odors to which you must get used to and do the impossible not to enter into a mental collapse (the most difficult part). in that room you can find a mixture between the smells of blood, urine, feces, amniotic fluid. In the same way, it is safe to hear the screams and despair of those women to expel that baby that I have been carrying in her womb for 9 months, usually you can also hear insults, laments, curses, and pleas.
Eran una guardia tranquila, pero siempre esperando el movimiento habitual de estar en sala de partos, Ya estaba a punto de irme a comer, Cuando de pronto se abren las puestas de la sala de partos, llegó una mujer con unos gritos muy fuertes, pidiendo ayuda junto a sus familiares porque se le había adelantado la fecha del parto; cronológicamente estaba acorde a la edad gestacional, pero, tenía una fecha pautada y todo se adelanto por unos días. Tenía 39 semanas de gestación. Según el relato se la madre, estaba en casa preparando el desayuno, cuando de repente empezaron los dolores y contracciones, y rompió fuente, que es esa sensación de que te estas orinado sin querer, se trataba de líquido amniótico indicabdo que el trabajo de parto habia iniciado. Y en ese preciso instante todos los familiares comenzaron a correr para llevarla a la emergencia del hospital.

She was 39 weeks pregnant. According to the mother's account, she was at home preparing breakfast, when suddenly the pains and contractions began, and her water broke, which is that feeling that you are urinating without wanting to, it was amniotic fluid indicating that labor had started. And at that precise moment all her relatives began to run to take her to the hospital emergency room.
Todo fue muy rápido, entre unos cuantos insultos, llantos y gritos por parte de la madre; y nosotros ayudándola para que pujara y respirara, para facilitar el trabajo de parto, la madre no dejaba de gritar y de pujar para expulsar al bebe. La futura madre dijo entre llantos y gritos: "doctora por favor sáquemelo ya, no aguanto", la madre casi le quita la mano a uno de mis compañeros de tanto apretarlo, unos minutos después podíamos ver la cabeza del bebe saliendo por el canal de parto. Empezó a salir poco a poco, se tomó su tiempo; cuando por fin logró salir, inmediatamente la doctora le dio la bebé a su madre, un momento demasiado emotivo, posteriormente se realizo el alumbramiento (expulsión de la placenta después del parto) brindandole a la madre todos los cuidados pertinentes. Mientras las enfermeras se encargaban de limpiar, pesar, tallar al bebé y hacer todo el protocolo que se realiza con cada uno de los recien nacidos cada recién nacidos.
