Hola, querido hiver.
Sigo echando de menos a mi peludo mientras me acomodo a la vida sin él. El tiempo continúa pasando y llevándose con él mis lágrimas. Incluso en alguna jornada he conseguido no derramar ninguna, sobre todo porque he mantenido la mente ocupada con diversos asuntos para no rumiar ni regodearme en la tristeza.
Incluso sin ganas hay que seguir. En esta semana la Agenda del diario para estoicos nos invita a vencer la procrastinación, esa pereza de hacer lo que proclamamos que queremos hacer pero que no nos ponemos en marcha. Una incongruencia más del ser humano. En uno de mis podcasts favoritos citan con frecuencia esta sentencia del escritor Alejandro Dolina:
La gente no quiere leer, quiere haber leído.
Y es que pecamos en exceso de deseos de experimentar muchas cosas en nuestra vida, cuando en realidad lo que deseamos es contarles a otros que las hemos experimentado. Tanto más cuanto mayor sea el esfuerzo a invertir en ellas.
Hablando de esfuerzo, me gusta ver que determinadas cuentas con influencia dentro de Hive escriben sobre sus formas de votar, exponiéndose a las críticas. Desde mi minúscula parcela trato de repartir lo poco que tengo entre aquellos que contribuyen y no toman todo para sí mismos. No critico ni a unos ni a otros, esto es un sistema descentralizado y cada uno es libre de hacer lo que desee o pueda. Eso sí, cada acción tiene consecuencias y la descentralización conlleva que cada usuario sea responsable de las suyas.
Estoy segura de que he cometido miles de errores en mi camino por Hive, también me habrán engañado o seducido apelando a la lástima fingida, de todo se encuentra una con el tiempo. Pero en mis manos está hacer lo que considero mejor para todos y no solo para mí, obrando en conciencia, cumpliendo con mis valores y filosofía de vida. Una de mis sentencias favoritas es esta de Confucio:
Dale un pescado a un hombre y comerá un día, enséñale a pescar y comerá siempre.
No me gusta repartir pescado, prefiero enseñar a pescar con mi ejemplo.

Hi, dear hiver.
I continue to miss my furry one as I adjust to life without him. Time continues to pass, taking my tears with it. I have even managed not to shed any on some days, mainly because I have kept my mind occupied with various matters so as not to ruminate or wallow in sadness.
Even if you don't feel like it, you have to carry on. This week the Stoic Diary Agenda invites us to overcome procrastination, that laziness of doing what we proclaim we want to do but don't get around to. Yet another human incongruity. In one of my favourite podcasts they often quote this sentence by the writer Alejandro Dolina:
People don't want to read, they want to have read.
And the fact is that we err too much on the side of wanting to experience many things in our lives, when in reality what we really want is to tell others that we have experienced them. All the more so the more effort we have to invest in them.
Speaking of effort, I like to see that certain influential accounts within Hive write about their voting behaviour, exposing themselves to criticism. From my tiny plot of land, I try to distribute the little I have among those who contribute and do not take everything for themselves. I do not criticise either one or the other, this is a decentralised system and everyone is free to do what they want or can. However, every action has consequences and decentralisation means that each user is responsible for his or her own.
I am sure that I have made thousands of mistakes on my way through Hive, I have also been deceived or seduced by appealing to feigned pity, one finds everything with time. But it is in my hands to do what I consider best for all and not only for myself, acting in conscience, fulfilling my values and philosophy of life. One of my favourite sayings is this one from Confucius:
Give a man a fish and he will eat one day, teach him to fish and he will eat forever.
I don't like to hand out fish, I prefer to teach fishing by example.
