Communicate with intent... Do it like a pro.

It takes a couple of communicative abilities to have a conversation, and I like to see that play out when I'm communicating with people. When communication is done properly, it can serve as a tool to achieve so much.

It gets even better when those involved in the conversation understand the importance of delivering their message in a way that's straight to the point and concise, and they are also open to paying attention when someone else is expressing an opinion.

How many people really take that approach around you? What about you? Do you practice that when communicating?

Communication is at the forefront of the things I find myself doing in Web3. The written content I put out is geared towards passing a message across to those who read the post. The same applies to the works I put up via my voice.

In the Shill Your Web3 Grind X space series I run and use as a medium to discuss with the Web3 community on X, I've seen different people talk in several ways. Here's what I learned from experiencing that;

  • A lot of people struggle to communicate and they know it.

  • A lot of people like to beat around the bush with their words and they end up not passing their message across.

  • Of course, some are economical with their words and you can see them saying so much with very few words.

You see my point?

Those who struggle to pick up the mic in my space and speak have openly said that they don't know what to share. But, after pressing them hard enough, it became obvious that what to say is never a problem for them. They have a lot of information up there. However, the confidence to speak is the issue they deal with.

The good news, though, is that they have been coming up to speak, and I spot improvement in their communicative ability. So, confidence is also important when communicating, especially when you are speaking on a topic that's of interest to those listening.

For those that just go on speaking for longer duration despite knowing that they have just 5 minutes to make their point, a lot of them are so in love with their own voice. They like to hear themselves speak regardless of how the people they are conversing with take what's being said.

I'm sure you can see what effective communication means for me...

I currently work as the Spokesperson of some Web3 projects. When hiring people to go for a promotion with me, I prefer to go with people who know how to say so much with very little word. I always say that there's no need to be on a call for an hour if the discussion is just meant to last for 10 minutes.

That's especially the case in Web3 because there's so much happening in this space, and for someone like myself who basically has a very busy schedule around the clock, I can't afford to spend too much time circling around a particular discussion. I prefer to say what needs to be said and pass the message across while also keeping my listeners curious about other things connected to the project I'm representing.

In conclusion, I'm a big fan of effective communication. I practice that in both text, audio, and audiovisual conversations. That explains why I thrive in the Web3 space as a Spokesperson, Ambassador, Content Writer, etc. For the record, what you see me do on Hive is just a snippet.
