Para decorar la pared de mi oficina busqué ideas en Pinterest. Vi opciones muy lindas: cuadros, detalles realizados en la pared con relieve o pintura, repisas, corchos y pizarras. Una de las imágenes llamó mi atención: una rejilla metálica multifuncional, en la cual podrían colgarse imágenes, fotos, frases, luces, decoraciones, incluso algunas tenían los compartimientos necesarios para colgar una planta o material de oficina. Imaginé esta rejilla en mi pared y me obsesioné con la idea. Lamentablemente, ubicarla en una tienda en Bogotá no fue una tarea sencilla. Mis opciones se redujeron a dos:
1.- Amazon: Precio americano que no incluía el envío, y no tendría la opción de verlo en persona para saber qué estaba comprando.
2.- Home Center: Una rejilla multifuncional, hermosa, por un precio de 139.000 pesos colombianos, alrededor de 36 dólares.
Ambas opciones se salían de mi presupuesto, entonces decidí recorrer la ciudad para ver si podía ubicar lo que quería. Visité tiendas como Éxito, Falabella, Panamericana, Home Sentry, Pepe Ganga, Miniso, Yoyoi, Yoyoso… en ninguna parte vendían este tipo de rejillas :’(.
Decepcionada y cansada de que mi búsqueda no diera ningún resultado, consideré descartar ese tipo de decoración. Pero un día, realizando compras en el Dollar City, la zona de implementos de cocina se iluminó. Encontré una rejilla para galletas, por 4 dólares, que se veía muy parecida a las rejillas de Pinterest para las habitaciones y oficinas. Era pequeña, así que si la compraba debía llevar dos. ¿Cómo las uniría? Pensé en mi papá, que resuelve todo en la vida con Tirraje, eso también haría yo. Encontré en la zona de papelería un portalápices que podría agregarle a la rejilla, para que quedara como un compartimiento, donde pudiese colocar una planta o guardar artículos de oficina, por 1.5$. Por supuesto, también lo llevé. En casa lo armamos y funcionó!!
Con la decoración se ve mucho más bonito. Le puse cositas que son importantes para mi o que me recuerdan a personas valiosas en mi vida. Me encanta que puede variar si le pongo luces, si solo coloco fotografías o si pongo en el contenedor una plantita. El ahorro fue sustancial y ¡logré lo que me había imaginado!

To decorate the wall of my office I looked for ideas on Pinterest. I saw very nice options: pictures, details made on the wall with relief or paint, shelves, corks and blackboards. One of the images caught my attention: a multifunctional metal grid, on which you could hang pictures, photos, phrases, lights, decorations, some even had the necessary compartments to hang a plant or office supplies. I imagined this grid on my wall and became obsessed with the idea. Unfortunately, locating it in a store in Bogotá was not an easy task. My options were reduced to two:
1.- Amazon: American price that didn't include shipping, and I wouldn't have the option to see it in person to know what I was buying.
2.- Home Center: A beautiful, multi-functional grill for a price of 139,000 Colombian pesos, about $36.
Both options were out of my budget, so I decided to go around the city to see if I could find what I wanted. I visited stores like Exito, Falabella, Panamericana, Home Sentry, Pepe Ganga, Miniso, Yoyoi, Yoyoso... nowhere did they sell this type of grilles :'(.
Disappointed and tired of my search yielding no results, I considered discarding this type of decoration. But one day, while shopping at Dollar City, the kitchen supplies area lit up. I found a cookie rack, for $4, that looked very similar to the Pinterest racks for bedrooms and offices. It was small, so if I bought it I would have to carry two - how would I put them together? I thought of my dad, who solves everything in life with Tirraje, that's what I would do too. I found a pencil holder in the stationery area that I could add to the grid, so it would look like a compartment, where I could place a plant or store office supplies, for $1.5. Of course, I took it too. At home we put it together and it worked!!!
With the decor it looks so much nicer. I put little things in it that are important to me or remind me of precious people in my life. I love that it can vary if I put lights in it, if I just put pictures in it or if I put a little plant in the container. The savings were substantial and I achieved what I had imagined!
