Por otra parte, estos días han estado bastante movidos para mí, haciendo mil cosas, visitando familiares, entre otras cosas más. Sin embargo, en el día de hoy, les vengo a hablar acerca de un almuerzo familiar que hicimos en casa, e invitamos a mi abuela y a una tía para disfrutar de un lindo día entre chicas, hablando y riendo por horas.

Good afternoon friends! I hope you are feeling well and are having a great week. I feel like these days have flown by, I don't know, what do you think? On the other hand, these days have been quite busy for me, doing a thousand things, visiting family, among other things. However, today, I come to talk to you about a family lunch we had at home, and we invited my grandmother and an aunt to enjoy a nice day with girls, talking and laughing for hours.

Como de costumbre, mi madre y yo planificamos las recetas que íbamos a preparar desde uno o dos días de anticipación, siempre tratamos de tener todo preparado cuando hay visitas, porque así, solo calentamos la comida y no tenemos que estar metidas en la cocina, lo cual puede ser un tanto agotador. Es por esta razón, que cuando planeamos un almuerzo o tener una reunión que incluye comida, preferimos preparar todo con calma un día antes. Además, podemos simplemente sentarnos con la visita y hablar todo el día sin preocuparnos por lo que se está cocinando.
Este día, nos decidimos por preparar un almuerzo navideño, pues nos habían quedado algunos ingredientes, así que nos pusimos manos a la obra y preparamos un poco de ensalada de pollo, pernil y unas hallaquitas blancas. Además, preparamos un delicioso pan de jamón y un mini panettone con frutas confitadas. Todo esto para que mi abuela y mi tía disfrutarán de estas recetas que hemos hecho y que no han podido probar en otras oportunidades.
As usual, my mother and I planned the recipes we were going to prepare one or two days in advance, we always try to have everything ready when there are visitors, because this way, we only heat the food and we don't have to be in the kitchen, which can be somewhat exhausting. It is for this reason that when we plan a lunch or have a meeting that includes food, we prefer to prepare everything calmly a day before. Plus, we can just sit with the visitor and talk all day without worrying about what's cooking.
This day, we suggested preparing a Christmas lunch, since we had some ingredients left, so we got to work and prepared some chicken salad, pernil and some white hallaquitas. In addition, we prepare a delicious ham bread and a mini panettone with candied fruits. All this so that my grandmother and my aunt will enjoy these recipes that we have made and that they have not been able to try on other occasions.
Al llegar el lunes, mi papá fue por ellas como a las 10:00 a.m, mientras nosotras arreglamos la comida y terminábamos de hacer la ensalada. Llegaron, nos tomamos algunas fotos y nos quedamos hablando por algunas horas, ya saben, poniéndonos al día de todo, dándonos el feliz año y más.
También, llevé a mi abuela a ver mis plantitas, pues ella me ha regalado la gran mayoría de las flores que tengo, aunque estos días no florecen, se veía bastante contenta de ver qué las tengo bien cuidados.
When Monday arrived, my dad went to pick them up around 10:00 a.m., while we were fixing the food and finishing making the salad. They arrived, we took some photos and we stayed talking for a few hours, you know, catching up on everything, wishing each other a happy new year and more.
Also, I took my grandmother to see my plants, since she has given me the vast majority of the flowers I have, although they are not blooming these days, she seemed quite happy to see that I have them well cared for.
A la 1:00 p.m ya teníamos mucha hambre, de tanto hablar, jaja. Mi mamá y yo comenzamos a servir, pero mi papá tuvo que comer primero porque se debía ir, así que luego comenzamos a emplatar para nosotras y nos sentamos a comer. Tardamos bastante porque seguimos hablando un montón, pero la comida estaba realmente deliciosa y ellas no paraban de decírmelo.
Luego, mi abuela me preguntó si podía ver la novela en mi cuarto, lo que nos dio mucha risa porque ella deja todo por ir a ver su novela, jaja. Nosotras nos quedamos en la sala hablando y, al terminar la novela, repartimos el panettone con una taza de café (olvidé tomar fotos). Por último, tomamos unas cuantas fotos más y así se nos pasó el día, hablando, compartiendo, riendo y disfrutando de la comida.
At 1:00 p.m. we were already very hungry, from talking so much, haha. My mom and I started serving, but my dad had to eat first because he had to leave, so then we started plating for ourselves and sat down to eat. It took us a while because we kept talking a lot, but the food was really delicious and they kept telling me so.
Then, my grandmother asked me if she could watch the novel in my room, which made us laugh because she leaves everything to go see her novel, haha. We stayed in the living room talking and, when we finished the novel, we distributed the panettone with a cup of coffee (I forgot to take photos). Finally, we took a few more photos and that's how the day went by, talking, sharing, laughing and enjoying the food.
