El fin de semana pasado fue de torneo de ajedrez, y como saben son jornadas bastante largas, pero por suerte fue en el C.C. Ecocenter que cuenta con espacios mucho más amplios, lindos, y con aire acondicionado, por lo que la espera se hace más cómoda.
A pesar de eso, ocho horas es mucho tiempo esperando, así que se me ocurrió la idea de llevar uno de nuestros juegos de mesa favoritos, el Pictionary, que básicamente es un juego donde pintas algo y tu compañero de equipo debe adivinar.
Para esto, el juego trae unas tarjetas con diferentes categorías y grados de dificultad, así que en tu turno, sacas una tarjeta y escoges la casilla que te corresponde y haces tu mejor esfuerzo por dibujar algo que tú compañero pueda entender ya que no se permite hablar, ni hacer señas ni gestos, y por supuesto eso es lo que lo hace tan divertido.
Mi idea era jugar con los que estábamos esperando, es decir, los padres y familiares, pero los chicos que estaban participando en el torneo, en cuanto finalizaban la ronda, se acercaban a la mesa para jugar también, y la verdad que pasamos un tiempo realmente divertido. Creo que las fotos lo dicen todo.
Como eran muchos niños logramos armar los 4 equipos que permite el juego y además se turnaban, así que teníamos a 8 personas jugando, lo que hizo que fuese más divertido aún, y súper dinámico, sobre todo porque en este juego la rapidez es clave, ya que se juega con tiempo.
Ese día, por supuesto, estaban @claudimar y @egleidyssc74, quienes se incorporaron al juego y luego no querían parar, pero es que la verdad es súper divertido y el ambiente demasiado genial, los chicos con sus ocurrencias nos hicieron reír demasiado, y ni hablar de los dibujos tan disparatados que hacíamos tratando de dibujar más rápido que los demás.
Sin dudas este juego nos ayudó un montón a sentir que el tiempo pasó volando, además de acercarnos un poco más como familia del ajedrez. La verdad la pasamos genial, y para el próximo torneo por supuesto que lo llevo.
Last weekend was a chess tournament, and as you know they are quite long days, but luckily it was at the Ecocenter Shopping Center, which has much larger, nicer and air-conditioned spaces, making the wait more comfortable.
Despite that, eight hours is a long time to wait, so I came up with the idea of bringing one of our favorite board games, Pictionary, which is basically a game where you paint something and your teammate must guess.
For this, the game brings some cards with different categories and degrees of difficulty, so on your turn, you draw a card and choose the box that corresponds to you and do your best to draw something that your teammate can understand since no talking, no signs or gestures are allowed, and of course that's what makes it so much fun.
My idea was to play with those of us who were waiting, that is, the parents and family members, but the kids who were participating in the tournament, as soon as they finished the round, came to the table to play as well, and the truth is that we had a really fun time. I think the pictures say it all.
As there were a lot of kids we managed to put together the 4 teams that the game allows and they also took turns, so we had 8 people playing, which made it even more fun, and super dynamic, especially because in this game speed is key, as it is played with time.
That day, of course, there were @claudimar and @egleidyssc74, who joined the game and then did not want to stop, but the truth is that it is super fun and the atmosphere is too cool, the kids with their witticisms made us laugh too much, not to mention the crazy drawings that we did trying to draw faster than the others.
Undoubtedly this game helped us a lot to feel that time flew by, in addition to bringing us a little closer as a chess family. The truth is that we had a great time, and for the next tournament of course I will take it.
