Siempre es buen momento para una pizza (Esp/Ing)

Hoy mi esposo me invitó a almorzar y yo me alisté de inmediato. Me encantan estas salidas porque podemos apartarnos de la rutina y compartir un rato en un ambiente diferente, lejos del estrés y de la cotidianidad que suele asfixiar cuando somos adultos y afrontamos responsabilidades.

Today my husband invited me to lunch and I got ready right away. I love these outings because we can get away from the routine and share some time in a different environment, away from the stress and daily routine that usually suffocates us when we are adults and face responsibilities.

Previamente habíamos quedado en llevar a nuestra hija Alma a casa de mi mamá, a ella le encanta cuidarla y la niña disfruta mucho el tiempo con sus abuelos. Verla reír y jugar junto a ellos me resulta gratificante, así que se las presto por un rato para que sean felices.

We had previously arranged to take our daughter Alma to my mom's house, she loves taking care of her and she really enjoys spending time with her grandparents. I find it rewarding to see her laugh and play with them, so I lend them to them for a while so they can be happy.

Luego, mi esposo y yo tomamos un autobús hacia el C.C. Cumaná Plaza, la cita sería en la Feria de Comida. Él me dejó elegir y yo fiel amante del queso derretido, opté por una deliciosa pizza. No es la primera ocasión que salimos a comer pizza y admito que han sido más las decepciones que los aciertos, pero en este caso la elección fue correcta.

Then, my husband and I took a bus to the C.C. Cumaná Plaza, the appointment would be at the Food Fair. He let me choose and I, a faithful lover of melted cheese, opted for a delicious pizza. It is not the first time we go out to eat pizza and I admit that there have been more disappointments than successes, but in this case the choice was right.

Aunque parezca sencilla, la preparación de la masa tiene sus trucos, de no saberlos, puede quedar pesada y con un sabor a levadura desagradable, también se nos han presentado casos de masas que no levantan, con textura chiclosa y otras secas cual galletas, esas experiencia la he vivido en contadas ocasiones y por ello he ido descartado locales para no repetir sinsabores.

Although it may seem simple, the preparation of the dough has its tricks, if you do not know them, it can be heavy and with an unpleasant yeast flavor, we have also had cases of dough that does not rise, with chewy texture and other dry as cookies, I have lived these experiences on a few occasions and therefore I have been discarded local to avoid repeating disappointments.

Esta vez, la pizza estaba esponjosa y con bordes crujientes, esa es una combinación perfecta. También el sabor estuvo excelente, mucho jamón y queso adornaban la superficie. El complemento ideal fue un refresco de limón, pero lo mejor, sin duda, fue la compañía. Cuando mi esposo y yo salimos juntos disfrutamos cada instante, es como regresar en el tiempo y volver a ser los novios de siempre, y eso me encanta.

This time, the pizza was fluffy and with crispy edges, that's a perfect combination. The flavor was also excellent, lots of ham and cheese adorned the surface. The ideal complement was a lemon soda, but the best part, without a doubt, was the company. When my husband and I go out together we enjoy every moment, it's like going back in time and being the sweethearts we always were, and I love that.

Así que entre pizza, chistes y ocurrencias pasamos un buen rato, aprovechamos para pasear, visitar tiendas y caminar por el centro de la ciudad, reafirmando en cada paso nuestro compromiso con esta relación.

So between pizza, jokes and witticisms we had a good time, we took the opportunity to stroll, visit stores and walk around the city center, reaffirming at every step our commitment to this relationship.
