Hace unos meses atrás, (el 30 de julio de este año), mi familia y yo fuimos invitados a nuestra primera fiesta de revelación de género; fue la fiesta de revelación de género de mi prima cercana, ella y su esposo están por recibir a su primer bebé y estábamos más que emocionados por saber el sexo del bebé ese día.

A few months ago, (30th July of this year), my family and I were invited to our first ever gender reveal party; it was my close cousin's gender reveal party, is her and her husband first baby and we were beyond excited to find out the gender of the baby that day.

Es una de las pocas veces que en realidad estuvimos casi toda la familia junta desde que el virus apareció en la vida de todos, por lo que fue muy agradable volver a verlos a todos y volver a conectar con algunos familiares que viven lejos y que no vemos tan a menudo como antes.

Is one of the few times that we were actually almost the entire family together since the virus came around everyones life, so, it was very nice to see everyone again and reconect with some of the distance family that we don't see that often cuz life, mostly.

Este es el segundo bebé que llega a nuestra familia de la nueva generación (el primer bebé fue de mi hermana mayor y su esposo), realmente queríamos un niño, así que casi todos en la fiesta votaron que el bebé sería niño, por lo que todos se vistieron con una camisa azul y el resto de los invitados se vistió con una camisa rosa (sólo 7 de ellos).

This is the second baby that arrives to our family (first baby was from my oldest sister and her husband), we truly want a boy so, almost everyone at the party were voting that a the baby was a boy so, we all got dressed with a blue shirt and the rest of the guests were dressed with a pink shirt (only 7 of them).

Por supuesto, yo era parte del #BlueTeam, tenía mucha confianza en que sería niño y mi familia también, así que llegamos a la fiesta sabiendo (o pensando que ya lo sabíamos) que el bebé sería varón, hasta que llegó el momento de la revelación.

Of course I was part of the #BlueTeam, I was super confident about it and my family were to, so, we walk to the party already knowing (or thinking we knew it already) that the baby was a boy and we carry on the entire time, until the revealing moment came.

Nos reunimos alrededor del globo que tenía el confeti y el humo del color que revelaría el sexo del bebé. Ambos padres de los que pronto serán papá y mamá recibieron cada uno el confeti y comenzamos a contar la cuenta regresiva. Yo estaba temblando, para ser honesto. La anticipación era grande y finalmente llegó el momento revelando que el bebé era...

We got around the ballon that had the confetti and the smoke of the colour that reveal the gender of the baby. Both parents of the soon to be mom and dad got each the confetti and the count down began. I was shaking, to be honest. The anticipation was big and we finally get there only to find out that...

💗 ¡ES UNA NIÑA! 💗

Ojalá tuviera más fotos del momento en que nos enteramos. Todos nos volvimos locos. Corrimos, saltamos, gritamos, vitoreamos, nos abrazamos y más. Fue una experiencia realmente increíble y nueva para casi todos nosotros, tuvimos la oportunidad de estar allí y presenciar ese momento que estoy seguro de que todos los asistentes atesoraremos por el resto de nuestras vidas.

I wish I had more pics about the moment we find out. We all lost it. We raned, jumped, yelled, cheered, huged and more. It was a truly awesome and new experience for almost all of us that got the chance to be there and witnessed that moment that we sure we all are going to treasured for the rest of our lives.

Solo nos quedaba disfrutar del resto de la celebración y empezar a pensar en el siguiente paso de la celebración de la hermosa niña que viene a bendecir a la familia de mi prima y su esposo y por supuesto a la nuestra.

All we got left was enjoy the rest of the celebration and start thinking about the next step of the celebration for the beautiful little girl that is coming to bless that family and ours too.

Ahora, esperamos que la bebé llegue al mundo muy pronto y poder conocerla en persona, con el favor de Dios.

Now, we hope that the baby will come into the world very soon and that we will be able to meet her in person, with God's favor.
