left ridge trail run [Running Community Report, October 25th 2020]

Sunday midday after the long sleep. I love when the DST ends so we can sleep an hour longer.

By the way, didn't we say in the spring that we won't be moving back the clock this time?

Anyway, the run was fun. In the last week, I was seriously under the weather and didn't run much if at all. So this was an opportunity to stretch my legs and lungs and inhale some stamina.

I took the left ridge above the Magpie's valley and progressed to the northwest. Every opportunity there was for a climb, I embraced it at an easy and leisurely pace.

The goal was to run 10 effective kilometers. With effective every 100 metes of climb count as an additional kilometer of distance.

The forest is wonderful this time of the year.

The trail was covered with wet leaves and muddy. It was so much fun to run up and down and around.

In the end, I was surprised by the score - 9.2 kilometers with 360 meters of climb. Good.

I love it when the running power graph is vivid like this. It shows that the run wasn't dull at all.

The Map

In the next week, I set myself a goal to run 9 effective kilometers daily. Will I manage? Stay in the loop :)

Ps: I miss @exhaust. @mstafford is there any way we can help?
