Robótica Divertida [Esp/Eng]

Saludos a toda la Comunidad Hive, estamos de vuelta, seguimos con los temas de tecnología, y en esta oportunidad les presento mi participación en un taller de Robótica Educativa que realizamos el año pasado.

Greetings to the entire Hive Community, we are back, we continue with the technology topics, and this time I present my participation in an Educational Robotics workshop that we carried out last year.

Comienza la Historia

Como parte de las actividades del Núcleo de Robótica "Dr Aquiles Medina", contamos con la visita del Infocentro Cúmaná y nos dieron la oportunidad de trabajar con el Ultimate 2.0 Kit. Este es un Kit de Robótica Programable 10 en 1, eso significa que con este mismo kit podemos ensamblar 10 tipo diferentes de robot.

Start the Story
As part of the activities of the "Dr. Aquiles Medina" Robotics Core, we had the visit of the Cúmaná Infocenter and they gave us the opportunity to work with the Ultimate 2.0 Kit. This is a 10-in-1 Programmable Robotics Kit, which means that with this same kit we can assemble 10 different types of robots.

Luego de una charla introductoria por parte de la Facilitadora del Infocentro Luisa Rodríguez, la actividad se continuó formando dos grupos con los jóvenes participantes, hembras y varones. La actividad consistió en que cada grupo se dedicara a ensamblar desde cero uno de los modelos del kit, y para esto contarían con la aseroría de un tutor, la profesora Luisa con las hembras, y en mi caso yo sería el responsable por el grupo de varones.

Durante la charla se mostraron los manuales de ensamblaje,las partes que contiene el kit, elementos mecánicos, estructuras metálicas incluidas, partes electrónicas, entro otros, y así como las recomendaciones de seguridad y protección al respecto.

After an introductory talk by Infocentro Facilitator Luisa Rodriguez, the activity continued by forming two groups of young participants, females and males. The activity consisted of each group assembling one of the kit models from scratch, with the guidance of a tutor - Professor Luisa with the females and myself with the males.

During the talk, the assembly manuals, the parts included in the kit, mechanical elements, included metal structures, electronic parts, and others were shown, as well as the safety and protection recommendations regarding them.

Construyendo un Robot

El primer grupo en iniciar fueron las hembras, las cuales estaban muy concentradas en la labor, se distribuyeron las tareas en grupo para clasificar, identificar las piezas y luego ensamblar. A pesar de que en la ultima etapa se nos fué la electricidad, se iluminaron con los teléfonos y eso no les impidió seguir con el trabajo.

The first group to start was the females, who were very focused on the task. The tasks were distributed among the group to classify, identify the pieces, and then assemble. Despite the fact that we lost electricity in the last stage, they lit up with their phones and that did not prevent them from continuing with the work.

Las chicas mostrando cada una de ellas el robot construido y probando su funcionamiento, y al momento de encender gritaron de alegría.

The girls showed each one of them the built robot and tested its functioning, and when they turned it on, they shouted with joy.

Ahora era el turno del grupo de varones, así que para poder continuar y por el tema de iluminación, el calor se saco el mesón en las afueras de las instalaciones, y sin esperar más comenzaron la tarea. La estrategia utilizada fue algo un poco distinta, primero identificaron todas las piezas, las agruparon y las preensamblaron en bloques más pequeños para luego ir armando el conjunto completo.

Now it was the boys' turn, so in order to continue and due to the lighting issue, the workbench was taken outside the facility, and without further delay, they began the task. The strategy used was somewhat different. First, they identified all the pieces, grouped them, and preassembled them into smaller blocks, and then proceeded to assemble the entire set.

Este fue el resultado del kit ensamblado, allí vemos con más detalle el brazo mecánico, las estructuras metálicas, el sistema de rodamiento con orugas, y la parte electrónica.

This was the result of the assembled kit, there we can see in more detail the mechanical arm, the metallic structures, the track bearing system, and the electronic part.

Para concluir, fue una jornada muy divertida y entretenida, los jóvenes disfrutaron ver que su trabajo en equipo fue productivo y lograron conseguir el objetivo, divertirse.

To conclude, it was a very fun and entertaining day, the young people enjoyed seeing that their teamwork was productive and they managed to achieve the goal, to have fun.
