Saludos a toda la Comunidad de #Hive, esta semana he estado algo ocupado con asuntos laborales, pero aquí les traigo otra publicación Geek / Friki, así que vamos a la historia.
Los Poderes de Super Vaca... en GNU/Linux
Imagen Generada con Copilot (Bing) desde Mi Teléfono - Diseño en CanvaEsta expresión, que al parecer para algunas personas les puede resultar no muy apropiada cuando la utilizas en un chat, les aseguro que no es la intención, es una expresión utilizado por aquellos que yo suelo llamar, los de la vieja escuela en GNU/Linux, los que usamos mucho la Terminal, o Consola, los que pasamos noches en la terminal configurando cosas, si con esa ventanita negra que a muchos no les gusta, y con mucha razón pues, porque tener que escribir comandos para hacer algo por la consola cuando se puede hacer normalmente desde el Entorno de Escritorio, como por ejemplo "expulsar el pendrive...", "reiniciar el computador...", "ver una película ASCII", y otras cosas más.
Los programadores de GNU/Linux suelen dejar cosas ocultas, mensajes, juegos, bromas dentro de sus aplicaciones, utilidades que algunas veces no son muy útiles, pero como ellos son los programadores, ni modo allí están, a esto se les llaman Huevos de Pascua. La diversión es descubrirlos, de eso se trata...
Una de estos son los Poderes de Super Vaca
Si utilizas el comando apt-get para instalar aplicaciones, buscas la ayuda para ver sus funciones, parámetros de uso y esas cosas, de seguro te apareció al final la frase:
Este APT tiene poderes de Super Vaca
Para verlo escribimos en la terminal "apt-get --help":
$ apt-get --help
Vamos a seguir explorando, ahora escribe "apt-get moo", y empieza la charla con la terminal a descubrir esos poderes:
$ apt-get moo
"Have you mooed today?" / ¿Has mugido hoy?"Have you mooed today?" / ¿Has mugido hoy?
Y podemos seguir.. molestando a apt-get 😂 |
$ apt-get moo moo
$ apt-get moo moo moo
Ahora también podemos probarlo con el comando aptitude y averiguar si también tiene poderes de super vaca:
$ aptitude moo
Si seguimos repitiendo moo moo moo, nos dirá lo mismo, pero si utilizamos:
$ aptitude -v moo
$ aptitude -vv moo
$ aptitude -vvv moo
$ aptitude -vvvv moo
$ aptitude -vvvvv moo
A este punto, sabes a que se refiere la imagen? No... seguimos
$ aptitude -vvvvvv moo
Otras cosas de GNU/Linux: COWSAY
Esto va más allá, podemos hacer que la vaca hable, pero con un mensaje personalizado, pero primero debemos instalar cowsay
oswaldo@developer:~$ cowsay
No se ha encontrado la orden «cowsay», pero se puede instalar con:
sudo apt install cowsay
Y lo utilizamos de la siguiente manera: cowsay "MENSAJE"

Tambien podemos personalizar las mascotas

STARWAR en código ASCII
Si... podemos ver Starwar en código ASCII desde la terminal, o eso era antes porque se realizaba con una conexión Telnet, en su tiempo fue muy divertido escuchar los efectos. Probé pero no funciona, sin embargo en la pagina web de los creadores la tiene disponible para que la disfruten.

The Super Cow powers... in GNU/Linux
Image Generated with Copilot (Bing) from My Phone - Canva DesignThis expression, that apparently for some people may not be very appropriate when you use it in a chat, I assure you that it is not the intention, is an expression used by those that I usually call, the old school in GNU/Linux, those that we use a lot the Terminal, or Console, those of us who spend nights at the terminal configuring things, yes with that little black window that many don't like, and rightly so, because having to type commands to do something through the console when you can do it normally from the Desktop Environment, such as "eject the pendrive. ..", "restart the computer...", "watch an ASCII movie", and so on.
The GNU/Linux programmers usually leave hidden things, messages, games, jokes inside their applications, utilities that sometimes are not very useful, but as they are the programmers, no way there they are, these are called Easter Eggs. The fun is to discover them, that's what it's all about....
One of these is the Super Cow Powers.
If you use the apt-get command to install applications, you look for the help to see its functions, parameters of use and those things, surely it appeared at the end of the sentence:
This APT has Super Cow powers.
To see it we type in the terminal "apt-get --help":
$ apt-get --help
Let's keep exploring, now type "apt-get moo", and start chatting with the terminal to discover those powers:
$ apt-get moo
"Have you mooed today?"
And we can keep on... bothering a apt-get 😂
$ apt-get moo moo
$ apt-get moo moo moo
Now we can also test it with the aptitude command and find out if it also has super cow powers:
$ aptitude moo
If we keep repeating moo moo moo moo, it will tell us the same thing, but if we use:
$ aptitude -v moo
$ aptitude -vv moo
$ aptitude -vvv moo
$ aptitude -vvvv moo
$ aptitude -vvvvv moo

Other GNU/Linux stuff: COWSAY
This goes further, we can make the cow talk, but with a custom message, but first we have to install cowsay

The command "cowsay" was not found, but it can be installed with:
sudo apt install cowsay
And we use it in the following way: cowsay "MESSAGE".

STARWAR in ASCII code
Yes... we can see Starwar in ASCII code from the terminal, or that was before because it was done with a Telnet connection, in its time it was very funny to listen to the effects. I tried it but it doesn't work, however on the creators website you have it available for you to enjoy.
