Getting to Know the Bush Trinil Bird (Wood Sandpiper)

In Indonesia, there are many types of birds that can be found in various regions. LOne type of bird that you can find is the Trinil bird. Trinil bird is one type of water bird that has a characteristic in the form of small and long legs. There are also many types of trinil birds, one of which is the Bush Trinil.

Friends need to know, that this Shrub Trinil bird is a bird species that comes from the Scolopacidae family, from the Tringa genus. This bird is also a type of bird that eats worms, insect larvae, tadpoles, and also eats crustaceans. The habitat of this Trinil Bush is in muddy coastal areas, rice fields, freshwater swamp areas. Because, in this habitat they will be very easy to find food. This type of worm-eating bird is also known to spread to an altitude of 750 m above sea level.

Characteristics of the Bush Trinil Bird.

The hallmark of an adult Trinil bird is that it is medium in size with a body length of approximately 20 cm and while the feathers are gray which looks a bit brownish with the tunggirnya white. While on the top it is greenish brown and there are also white spots. Another distinctive feature of this Trinil Bird is that its eyebrows are white and its tail is white with brown stripes. In addition, the belly looks white.

When the Trinil flies, it will look its characteristic which is striped on the tail, tunggir and also the white underside of the wings. In addition, there is also no visible line on the wings. And when this Trinil bird flies, then the legs will stick out longer than the tail. As for the color of the irises, they are brown, the beak is black and the color of the legs is yellowish mixed with olive green. Usually this Trinil bush bird will live in a small group of up to twenty individuals. In their daily life, this bird is also seen very often mingling with other types of scaffolding birds.

This bush trinil bird is also a type of bird that eats worms, tadpoles, insect larvae and crustaceans. For its breeding area, it is located in the northern part of the European Continent and also breeds in northern Asia. Then, when winter arrives, then the birds will migrate to southern Africa, southern Asia and also in Australia. This Bush Terinil bird is also included in the visitor birds which are very common and widespread throughout the Greater Sunda region.

Therefore, it is quite easy for all of us who want to observe this type of bird at the observation location which is located in muddy fields near the rice fields, or we can also find it on the edge of an estuary near the beach.
