Watching the copula of the nuthatch

This weekend I had the luck that I managed to take pictures of a male and a female Nuthatch doing their reproduction thing on a tree right above me. It only took a few seconds and it was over but I managed to get some pictures, as soon as I saw the female standing there on the branch and stretching her bottom up I knew what is going to happen and I took some burst shots with my camera and luckily I got some images of it. Now in spring a lot of birds and animals do their courtship and reproduction things and it is always nice to watch.

I am happy that there will probably be some offspring and the nuthatches in my region will hopefully be numerous.
