Birds living in the reed showing their beauty and sing

Birds have several habitats, and you can find different bird species on different spots in the nature. One of these habitats is Reed growing on the shores of lakes, rivers and creeks. On these spots I was able to take several nice pictures of birds, and I am pretty sure I already showed you some of these pictures, but not in this combination with only birds living in the reed.

Because in the early morning the light was not the best and the sun just started to rise I made a mistake and didn't pump up the ISO because I thought I am able to handle it, but now I see the picture is a bit blurry because of the low exposure time I had to use because of the little available light right after the sunrise. I wasn't able to hold the lens as still as necessary. But the sunlight got better from minute to minute, so also the results got better, at least I think so.

These pictures are all from the "Nationalpark Neusiedlersee Seewinkel" but not from one year. They were shot over the course of several years since I started visiting this place for bird photography in 2016. I hope in the next years I will have again several opportunities to visit this place and take some pictures of birds in the reed. Because this year in 2021 I was a little late I only could take a few pictures of birds in the reed. The reed is better when birds are looking for a mating partner in spring. In summer they often hide deep inside the reed and it is way more difficult to find and take pictures of them. Shallow water is better for bird photography in summer.

Next year I plan to visit the Lake Neusiedler a little bit earlier in the year but this depends on the COVID Situation and if we are allowed to travel freely during this time. Since I need to drive more than 3 hours to this place, I prefer staying to night for several days or at least the weekend and if this is not possible I probably postpone the travel for the next time this is possible. So we will see how the restriction will be next spring.

But I must admit it also had something good that I wasn't able to drive there so often, I discoverd a nother birding place that is a lot closer and that is also very good. The Inn River at the boarder to Germany is also a paradise for birds and next Year I want to visit "Trebon" in the Czech Republic for some bird photography. This should also be a paradise for birds and I need to check it out when it is easier to cross the boarders again.
