When baby birds just fledged from their nest they often wait nearby for their parents to be fed by them before they learn how to catch their own food. They perch on different spots like this rock and wait for their parents to return to feed them but not long and they have to find their own food to survive. These two little birds I found on a hiking trip in the alps near a creek and I watched them for some minutes before I decided not to disturb them too much, because they still depend on their parents and If you stay too long very close to them there is a probability that the parents don't return.
