For those of you who are reading this post and might be interested in participating in this fun photo contest, I'm sharing below the link to the post where the contest rules are presented.
Last Sunday, after a couple of rainy and gray days in the area of Spain where I live (Asturias) the sun finally shone again and this motivated me to get up early and go for a walk. This time, instead of walking in the vicinity of my village, I went to a nearby town called Navia. In this small town of 8000 inhabitants there is a forest area near the beach ideal for walking and breathing fresh air from the forests of eucalyptus, chestnut and oak trees mixed with the scent of the sea.
However, in order to make a longer walk, I left my vehicle about 3 kilometers from the beach and went walking through the village of Navia. When I had been walking for about 15 minutes and about a kilometer away from the forest before the beach I came across this lovely duck pond.
Because it was early in the morning, there were hardly any people on the street, which allowed even some ducks to be outside the boundaries that delimit the pond. At the same time, other species of birds such as seagulls, pigeons, sparrows mingled with the ducks and geese on the pond.
When I was taking some pictures of the pond, a group of pigeons stood near me on the fence and I decided to capture the moment. My surprise was to see in the photo that I had a headless duck and that was not possible.
I always take my photos with my iPhone SE in LIVE mode. This mode allows that at the same time that we take the picture a small video is stored in our device prior to taking the picture of about three seconds duration. So this LIVE mode allowed me to investigate where the duck's head was and as you can see in the sequence of frames, the duck was scratching with its beak the back of its body to put it politely.
