Hello everyone, my entry for this weeks photo competition is the king of the dawn chorus (at least in my area) - The Blackbird (Turdus merula).
This chap has been diligently guarding both my front and back gardens for over a week now chasing off all rivals who dare to try and take over the property.
Its been quite amusing watching them chasing each other around and around.
Most mornings these guys are having singing competitions from all the high points in the neighbourhood. An absolutely beautiful sounding alarm clock.
