RE: Tell Yourself To "Shut Up!"

I think it is just our generation.

We were told "Nobody cares. Work Harder." While the sentiment is effective and hard work is key, people do care! "You don't know anything and need to respect your elders and do what you are told." Again, respect for elders, conservative value for our present intelligence, and going with the grain a couple times before resorting to go against the grain has merit. We DO know things, have a unique and valuable perspective, and have come to be experts without even knowing it.

I love the shutting up of the negative voice. Not shutting it down because it can give us the motivation to strive and improve. Acknowledge and use it for what it is worth. Apply yourself, try, fail, learn, repeat, succeed.

Progress not perfection and boldly leash that negative voice as a superpower. "You are not good enough" Oh yah? Maybe not yet but shut up and just watch me!
