Swaying To And Fro
One may restore oneself when alone, when feeling lonely you must be keeping bad company, alternatively you need time!
Tree on the hill in the morning mist of time, how brave you are up there all alone standing in solitude against the elements as they glide up toward you from above or below, nowhere able to stem the flow.
Are your companions close enough, to share secrets up to your perch above?
When angry wind screams around corners carrying lightning bolts on it's shoulders, throwing hail stones at you, it truly becomes a case of burying your roots deep to withstand onslaught of bashing you will receive.
Your whispers are heard when I sit beneath, wind gently sweeping through, shaded by your glorious outstretched arms, engulfed in thought of how you stand guard under blazing sun then moonlit sky.
How do the stars affect you moonless nights, do they wink down telling you of approaching dawn, sunlight returning to scorch down once more.
Being a lone tree on the hill, accepting fate as handed you, rooted in over time the seed landed in a lonely spot.
One sided wisdom could be your inner voice telling you to flee before you disgrace yourself, clinging onto to random possibilities are no longer an option.
Simple beauty making a mark, never cowering to surroundings may you live long my lone little tree!
