A sólo dos semanas del tercer aniversario de este maravilloso evento, nos aglutina una temática muy original: "Comedia Musical". Investigando por allí encontré que una comedia musical es una obra donde se canta y se habla, a diferencia de las óperas donde todo va cantado.
¿Recuerdan a "Vaselina" (Grease), con Olivia Newton John y John Travolta? Pues esa es una comedia musical.
Yo les traigo no una comedia musical pero sí una pieza del repertorio folclórico venezolano que une la música con el humor. Se trata de "El Espanto" original de la agrupación musical "Carota, ñema y tajá" .
En Venezuela un "espanto" es un fantasma y este de la canción, especificamente, es uno muy original ya que aunque se comenta que estaba "sin pantalón ni camisa" esto no impedía que llevara "las manos en los bolsillos" y siendo un "muerto sin cabeza" se le describe como poseedor "de una macabra sonrisa".
La descripción de su rostro detalla que "tenía los ojos pelados, tenía el bigote chorreado, tenía los pelos parados, tenía la barba para atrás" y además era un espanto alegre que se presenta bailando merengue
Este video es otra producción de la Agrupación Musical "Venezuelan Power" (Nombre ideado por @fernanblog. Por sugerencia suya y de nuestro estimado @jesuslnrs estuvimos buscando un nombre y entre todos los sugeridos fue este el que más nos gustó).

In Venezuela a "scary" is a ghost and this one in the song, specifically, is a very original one since although it is said that he was "without pants or shirt" this did not prevent him from having "his hands in his pockets" and being a " headless dead man" is described as possessing "a macabre smile".

Les invito a disfrutar de "El Espanto" en voz del grupo "Carota, ñema y tajá". Por cierto, cuando dice "Carota" se refiere a las caraotas negras, el grano más popular en Venezuela a la hora de comer. "Ñema" es la amarilla del huevo y "tajá" es cuando se toman rebanadas de plátanos (una especie grande de bananos que no se comen crudos sino cocidos) y se frien en aceite muy caliente.
