Hive Open Mic Week 150: The Solid Rock (Cover, Hymn, 1834 )

When I thought of virtue, I thought of the main thing for the Christian: our righteousness and virtue comes from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who paid for our salvation with His precious blood on the cross, and rose again to dress us in His righteousness forever! Thus the hymn "The Solid Rock" by Edward Mote and William B. Bradbury came back to my mind. I have chosen to sing the first and fourth verses of the hymn.

Lyrics:

1 My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus' blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
but wholly lean on Jesus' name.

Refrain:
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand:
all other ground is sinking sand;
all other ground is sinking sand.

4 When he shall come with trumpet sound,
O may I then in him be found:
dressed in his righteousness alone,
faultless to stand before the throne.

Refrain:
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand:
all other ground is sinking sand;
all other ground is sinking sand.
