So i just keep on going on about that which comes to my mind and that would be along the lines of this.

Literally, the tv is the enemy. Just for you information they will now refer to you as a program...as the idiot box and the online media junk are paired together they are going to use, have been using the words that make the NPC's (Non players character, the Synths) So i think we can say NPCS are being reprogramed on the lexicon level of how they refer to themselves as the collective whole.
