Now that I've had a little experience with 3D printing I've begun to print some things for family and friends.
I prefer dogs but my sister loves cats. I found a low polygon count model of a house cat on Thingiverse. The model was uploaded by Thingiverse user slavikk back in 2015.

The print time was a bit over three and a half hours. The recommended printer settings on the Thingiverse post are 0.3 mm layer height with 15% infill. I stuck with my 3D printer's default 0.2 mm layer height with 20% infill. It added to the print time length and consumed a bit more filament but I've been having good success with the default settings so far.
